Fenix was one of the most respected Protoss warriors in the StarCraft universe and served as a prominent executor of the Templar caste. Known for his courage, tactical brilliance, and loyalty to Aiur, he became a central ally to Jim Raynor during the conflict against the Zerg and the oppressive Terran Confederacy.

During the events of the original StarCraft campaign, Fenix fought alongside Tassadar and Raynor to defend the Protoss homeworld from the Zerg invasion. After being overwhelmed and presumed dead during a battle against the Zerg, his consciousness was transferred into a dragoon shell, allowing him to continue serving the Protoss despite the loss of his original body.

Fenix played a major role in uniting fractured alliances during the Brood War era. His friendship with Raynor became one of the more memorable human-Protoss relationships in the franchise. Although deeply honorable, Fenix remained pragmatic in wartime and was willing to cooperate across factions when survival demanded it.

Eventually, Fenix was killed by Sarah Kerrigan during the conflict on Aiur. His death had a major emotional impact on Raynor and the Protoss leadership, reinforcing Kerrigan's growing reputation as one of the galaxy's most dangerous figures.

Fenix later inspired additional storylines in StarCraft II. A Purifier construct based on his memories and personality appeared as a separate character, exploring themes of identity, legacy, and artificial consciousness within Protoss society.

It occurs in early lactation, when demand for calcium for colostrum and milk production exceeds the cow's ability to mobilize calcium. "Fever" is a misnomer, as body temperature during the disease is generally not elevated. Milk fever symptoms include tremor in the muscles of the head and limbs until falling to a "sitting" position. Once down, cows may have a dry muzzle, staring eyes, cold legs and ears, constipation, and drowsiness.
