this article relates to the longitudinal family physician payment model in british columbia see more info in the overview article lfp (longitudinal family physician) overview docid\ obuuedtcahjllbrdcae44 there are two components to the lfp time claiming tool set in profile a form to assist with creating the time claims a toolbar button which will launch the form create billing claims as a provider or billing clerk, the tool was designed to help you create claims for the time codes click the lfp time claiming toolbar button to open the lfp time claiming form your current pos will be populated automatically, change this if necessary select the appropriate provider in the provider field if the provider is acting as a locum on behalf of a provider, check the locum checkbox it will be checked automatically if cover has been set up or the provider is in the lfplocum provider group enter the start date and time and end date and time for the time period that will be claimed this should be up to 1 day at a time enter the amount of time that the provider spent working on indirect patient time , clinical administration time , and excluded services when you open the form, the same patient for all claims checkbox will be automatically checked and the first appointment with patient with bc msp number that the provider had on the start date will be populated automatically, or the patient from the provider's first signed result if they had no appointments the same patient will be applied to all of the claims if you need them to be different, simply uncheck the box and type in the names in the additional patient fields check the keep open checkbox if you want to submit multiple sets of claims for different days or providers click the create claims button to create the billing claims the form will close automatically if the claims were created successfully, unless the keep open checkbox was checked the billing claims can be seen and submitted in the control centre/billing view
