intrahealth has upgraded the prescription warning window in profile this window is responsible for providing prescription alerts and warnings such as drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications when medications are prescribed in new encounter/scripts view the new analysis engine (rxvengine) provides up to date patient to drug analysis by gathering patient information from profile such as gender, height, weight, active problems, and prescribed medications to perform an analysis the analysis result is delivered to the provider in a modern perspectives interface configuration in organisation/preferences/general/scripts and instructions/general tab, you can set alert preferences to display the level of alert in the warning window that can open when prescribing in the alerts table in the show warnings for panel, select the type of alert, then click into the adjacent option field and select the level or display option you would like to see these are individual preference settings, so each user can have different alerts display workflow create a new prescription in new encounter/scripts using the standard workflow if an alert is found, the warning window opens, as per usual, but now it contains the perspectives viewer, which displays alerts like allergy information and interactions, as well as patient and clinical information based on your alert settings, you may see all or only some of the alerts based on your alert settings, you may see all or only some of the alerts level 1 avoid involved medication the risk of serious problems outweighs any potential benefit level 2 if possible, avoid involved medication if not, adjust therapy to prevent potential problems level 3 evaluate specific risk based on the clinical situation adjust therapy or monitor as needed you can filter alerts within the perspectives viewer by clicking filter alerts you can also collapse the automatically expanded alerts by clicking on their title bar add a comment in the comment free text field, if desired and press ok in the warning window to add the prescription to the current order area patient analysis with the rxvengine alert preferences go to organisation/preferences/general/scripts and instructions/general tab and set your desired alert levels and options existing patients use patients with multiple allergies and/or active problems; currently pregnant; or 65 years of age or older open the prescriptions view of their medical record and, in the usual scripts tab toolbar menu, select one or more usual prescription(s) and click to check for interactions, contraindications, warnings and allergies you can also perform this action in the usual scripts tab of the new encounter/scripts view or when creating a new prescription the warning details window opens which displays the perspectives viewer if you select more than one usual prescription, a warnings window opens, listing them click the more info link for one prescription to open the warning details window, which displays the perspectives viewer test patient experiment with a test patient (test, jack) by adding diagnoses, adverse problems, prescriptions, and usual scripts when you add an adverse problem, you’ll see an rxven code in the external column of the select disease code table this links the intolerance or allergy to rxvengine and this allergy will display in the allergies category of the profile section of the perspectives viewer any currently added adverse problems that aren’t linked the rxvengline will still appear in the allergies category but will be an unrecognized product any allergy items added from the prescription alert factors panel of the medical record/prescriptions view will also be listed in the allergies category, but intolerances will be an excluded alert in the perspectives viewer, as they are excipients support please contact intrahealth support for questions or concerns email help\@intrahealth com phone 855 841 7387 to open a ticket https //help intrahealth com/ when opening a ticket, please provide a screenshot of the error, the engine request code and the engine response code
