# Telemedicine Fee Code Guessing (BC)

We’ve modified the MSPFEE macro which Profile uses to guess the default service code used in claims and invoices to recognize Telemedicine appointments based on user configuration described in this document. The new macro has been pushed out to all Hosted BC customers.  For self hosted customers, please use the attached JFA files.

NOTE:

This configuration is only required for customers who aren’t using the built-in Intrahealth Telemedicine service. Those customers should see the [Telemedicine User Manual](docId:9Ix0n48moDU6Cvzfl-FjX)for more information. Customers interested in this service can contact [sales@intrahealth.com](mailto\:sales@intrahealth.com) to request the Telemedicine Statement of Work (SOW).

## Configuration

1. Ensure the **MSPFEE **macro in your system is up to date. See [Default Fee Codes](docId\:n15FeGDAAL9gmxrqF09XH)
2. Go to **Maintain / Short Codes**. 
3. Create short codes in the new **Contacts - Telemedicine **type to match the same short codes you have created in the **Contacts **type for Telemedicine appointments.In the example, below, **TELE **has been added in the **Contacts **type for Telemedicine appointments, so **TELE **needs to be added as a short code in the **Contacts - Telemedicine **type.

## Workflow

Continuing with the previous example, we have an appointment with the type **TELE**. When the appointment is arrived, the auto-created claim will default with the age-appropriate **Telehealth GP Visit** service code.
