## Summary Instructions
After configuring the Encounters view filter to show deleted encounters, use the version history to restore the previous encounter.

## Requirements
To restore a deleted encounter the user restoring must have the following role action:
- Clinical Notes - Restore Previous Version
If this permission is not granted, the restore button

## Steps to locate and restore encounter
1. In the Medical Record window Encounters view, click Edit filter button in the top right corner.

2. Place a checkmark in the box that says Show Deleted Encounters and click Apply.

3. Click the blue Version link in the deleted Encounter. (Version 2)

4. In the Compare Clinical Transaction Versions window, select the previous version you wish to restore (before it was deleted), and choose Restore the selected version.

5. Enter your password and click OK to restore the previous version.If you receive an error You cannot restore live version, this is because you are trying the restore the most recent version. You should choose a different version to restore.
6. A new version is created showing the textual contents of the version that was chosen to restore.
