## New Password Restrictions for Profile

| Application Change(s) | In alignment with Intrahealth's dedication to upholding privacy and security standards, we are implementing password restrictions directly within Profile EMR. These changes aim to bolster security measures and ensure the integrity of your data.
* Profile will enforce the following hard-coded, minimal rules for user/provider Password complexity:
- Minimum 10 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- At least one special character
* We have introduced a new preference, enabling customers to set a minimum number of characters (higher than 10)
* Upon login, the system will promptly check entered passwords against the rules and enforce the new password restrictions only if the password is deemed weak (Users with strong passwords will not be affected)
* Profile will no longer support the Validate Password Macro that was used to configure password complexity and expiry. Macro name: ‘Validate Password Macro’ (Organisation/Preferences/Technical/Security (Global)/Security tab / Password field) |

## Profile’s Marketplace Integration

## NHI Synchronisation Improvements

| Application Change(s) | We have made changes to the integration with NHI to make it more intuitive. It is now always clear whether you are about to update Profile with details from NHI (receiving) or updating the NHI system with data from Profile (sending):
* In Alter Patient General view, an “NHI Identity Services” panel has been added, grouping all NHI-related buttons.
- If a patient record is saved locally only, but not yet linked to NHI, the first button will be called ‘Link’
- Once a patient record has been linked to NHI, the first button will be called ‘Compare’, and will allow you to just view the data in Profile and NHI, without attempting to update details in either system.
- The ‘Send’ button will allow you send details held in Profile to NHI.
- The ‘Receive’ button will allow you to update Profile with details from NHI.
* The window header will always reflect the action that is about to be performed, i.e. ‘Send’ or ‘Receive’.
* When saving changes in the patient record, Profile will continue to offer to synchronize with the NHI system. However the window which comes up is now called ‘Send details for \[patient name] to NHI” to avoid any confusion.
* Both windows can be deliberately opened using their respective ‘Send’ or ‘Receive’ button. For example, if you had previously only saved the details locally, and you now want to send them to NHI, you can click the ‘Send’ button to do so.
* In all NHI-synchronisation windows, folders can now be collapsed or expanded for convenience.
* When going to Patient/NHI Push, the Maintain NHI Lookup window is consistent with the Compare, Send and Receive windows:
- The Profile column shows the current data in Profile, with any difference between NHI and Profile displayed in red.
- The Sync button has been renamed ‘Receive’ to reflect its function. For example, when an address was added and sent to NHI using this window, clicking ‘Receive' will add the address in the patient’s Personal view, Additional Addresses panel. |

## Profile Lockout Screen Security Upgrades
