## Changes

**Appointment linking preference modified***Appointments*In the Encounter tab of Clinical preferences, the appointment linking preferences have been moved into their own section and renamed to increase visibility and clarity.

**Linked appointment issue with End of encounter process preference logic***Appointments, Encounters*The new appointment linking preference was affecting the ‘End of encounter process' configuration. Currently, the ‘End of encounter process' preference is used with the ‘Close attendance’ feature enabled to automatically close encounters after the provider has seen the patient. And it is common for providers to do a ‘pre-chart’, where they create a new encounter to include any necessary appointment details before the patient arrives for their appointment. So, when a linked appointment’s encounter was created and saved before the patient had been seen (i.e., the patient has not been marked as ‘Arrived’, or ‘Seen’), it was incorrectly closing the appointment. This has been changed and the “Close Attendance” text has been changed to “Close linked Arrived or Seen Appointment”.

## Defect Fixes

**Cancelled linked-appointment issue with Close attendance flag preference***Appointments*Creating a New Encounter for a cancelled appointment incorrectly changed the appointment icon from ‘Cancelled' to ‘Completed’ when the End Encounter process preference 'Close Attendance’ was checked. This has been fixed.
