## Capability to Include CPP Data in Ocean eReferrals

## Receive ACC Bulk Invoices and Payments Data

| Application Change(s) | Profile can now receive ACC bulk invoice and payments data directly from the ACC API. This data represents the same information that is available in ACC’s paper statements and on the ACC portal. Users will no longer be required to manually reconcile bulk invoices for ACC.
Profile includes two new scheduled tasks, which are installed automatically upon upgrade, that are used to automatically retrieve the data from ACC. These tasks require configuration to set a schedule that suits your organisation.
In addition, users can request real-time updates on the status of bulk invoices or payments at the press of a button from Control Centre\Financial\Bulk Invoices. |

## External Provider Search and Synchronization Using Medical-Objects Directory

| Documents, Scanning, and Letters | - Previously, in the Document Processor, if the user selected a folder where the path contained two spaces in a row, Profile removed one of the spaces, making the path incorrect. This has been fixed. |
| Encounters | * In some cases, when the End of Encounter process was completed and an investigation was completed and sent, the icon in the Encounter view for Send History would incorrectly indicate that the item was still pending/not sent. This has been fixed.
* Previously, when starting a new Encounter and setting the Fax Recipient via macro, the Delivery Method defaulted to Print and the Destination to Default Printer in the End of Encounter window instead of Internet Faxing and the recipient’s fax number. Additionally, the Recipient field appeared as free-text input instead of the expected lookup control. This has now been fixed. The End of Encounter window now correctly shows Internet Faxing, populates the recipient's fax number, and presents the Recipient as a lookup field, as intended.
* When viewing previous Encounters, the Provider Name and Provider Job Title were showing the current values from the Provider record rather than the values from the time when the Encounter was created. This has been fixed. |
| Encounters; Obstetrics | - When Pregnancy is the diagnosis code for an encounter, Profile now requires a confirmation. In addition to direct saving of an encounter, the confirmation for Pregnancy diagnosis is asked on closing the Encounter editor window (if it hasn’t been asked already, i.e., on pressing the Save button). The user is now required to confirm the Pregnancy diagnosis, before leaving the Encounter editor. |
| Encounters; Referral | * Referrals were added to the End of Encounter/Unprocessed Items functionality in version 9. However, Printing or Internet Faxing a Referral Letter would not change the Referral's contact action link status to Actioned, so it would still show in the End of Encounter/Unprocessed Items tab. This has been fixed. |
| Financial | - Previously, the Payee ID was not showing in financial reports for electronic claims in some cases. This has been fixed.
- After creating a new invoice and adding some details, if the user clicks the X button, Profile prompts the user to confirm whether they want to save the Invoice. Previously, if the user clicked the Yes button, in some cases, an exception error was shown. This has been fixed. |
| Forms; Obstetrics | * When recording Antenatal Observations in Section 17 of the BC Antenatal Form, the GA (Gestational Age) column is no longer editable; it shows only the auto-calculated gestational age based on the EDC of the attached Pregnancy. This change was made to simplify the functionality and remove the ability to edit the column, which has not proved useful. |
| Medications | - *Enhanced Flexibility for Prescription Entry – Optional Route Field*
- *Updated Preference for Usual Prescriptions*
- Location: Preferences/Scripts and Instructions/Interface tab
- Updated Preference: “Allow blank dose, frequency and route for usual prescriptions” (previously only applied to dose and frequency)
- Behaviour:
- When checked: Users can save a Usual Prescription without entering a Route.
- When unchecked (default): Route is mandatory when saving a Usual Prescription.
- *New Preference for Prescription Ordering and MedChart*
- Location: Preferences/Scripts and Instructions/Interface tab
- New Preference: “Allow blank route for all prescription ordering (prior + med chart)”
- Behaviour:
- When checked: Route becomes optional for:- MedChart prescriptions- Admission Medication Reconciliation- Prescription Ordering (e.g., drag-and-drop from Usual Scripts)
- When unchecked (default): Route is mandatory across all the above prescription types.
- These updates restore flexibility for users who prefer not to enter a route for every medication, especially when it is obvious or standardized. Clinics now have the option to configure route requirements to fit their prescribing workflows.
- Action required to enable optional route entry: Navigate to Preferences/Scripts and Instructions/Interface tab and check the applicable preferences based on your clinic’s workflow needs.
- Adding a Usual Medication in the Medical Record/Summary view can show a dialog prompting the user to select a Route. Previously, this was not translated to French. This has been fixed. |
| Obstetrics | * Previously, in the Obstetric Window, the Pregnancies and Maternal Summary section was incorrectly hidden. This has been corrected.
* In the BC Antenatal Form built into Profile, the Comment column in Section 15 (Ultrasound and Other Imaging Investigations) was previously extended. This longer text could not be viewed on-screen because it was shown in one long hint text without any line breaks when the user hovered over the text. This has been fixed by showing long comments in a multi-line hint popup. |
| Patient Management | - Some documents with HTML content were not exported during a PDF medical record export for one or more patients due to unexpected characters at the beginning of the file. This has been fixed by making the export more tolerant and exporting the file regardless of the content.
- During the process for exporting a PDF for patient medical records, the progress field showed “Convertation to PDF”. This has been fixed to show “Converting to PDF”.
- When printing Medical Records in a French language environment, in the “Sortie” drop-down, the option showed “Impression” instead of “Imprimer”. This has been fixed.
- Previously, when adding a Provider Group to another Provider Group, the members of the subgroup were not treated as members of the parent group for the purpose of Task filtering. This has been corrected.
- The headers in the Patient Medical Record PDF Export were in English in a French environment. This has been fixed. |
| Patient Record | * Previously, in the Audit view of a Patient's Medical Record or in the Alter Patient view, when a user was disconnected, the ‘Finished’ date and time were left blank. This has been corrected and the ‘Finished’ date and time has been renamed to ‘Last Activity’ date and time to better reflect the meaning of the field.
* In some workflows it is possible to open the Alter Patient window in a modal mode (can’t switch to another window without closing this window). As of version 9.0.8, a defect was introduced which made it possible to have parts of the modal Alter Patient window cut off by maximizing the window and restoring (unmaximizing) it. This has been fixed.
* An issue was resolved where scanned documents were included in the PDF export even when all checkboxes were unchecked and "Summary only" was selected. Now, scanned documents are included in the exported PDF only if the "Export stored files" checkbox is checked. |
| Portals | - In v10.0.6, the Chat module attempted to validate tokens via the public IDP endpoint. In production, where the network is isolated, internal services are restricted from accessing public domains. This caused the ProfileServer to call itself via its external address, resulting in failed requests and 502 Bad Gateway errors during the authentication flow.
Resolution: Token validation now uses the internal IP to access the IDP configuration, ensuring compatibility with network restrictions.
Impact: Authentication in Chat now works as expected in isolated environments. |
| Printing and Faxing | * In some cases, the the Fax Number and Name of the Referral To External Provider was not populated in the Internet Faxing recipient table in the Print Setup window after clicking the Fax button in the Letter tab of the Referral window. This has been fixed. |
| Problems | - The Date fields in the Medical Record/Problems/Procedure/Add New Procedure window were previously difficult to see due to UI display issues. This has been resolved and the Date fields are now visible. |
| Results | * Upon upgrading to version 10.0.4, users noticed that the viewing of PDF attachments in Results produced an OLE error message, and the attachment could not be viewed. This has been fixed. However, the fix cannot be applied retrospectively to Results that were imported into Profile since the issue began. To view the attachments in these Results requires the file to be imported again. |
| Technical Design | - Previously, the AutoImport of jaffa files via IHServer was taking, on average, 13 minutes to complete. The performance of this function has been enhanced and, on average, the time has been reduced to 3 minutes for completion of the same task.
- The Performance Monitor has been enhanced to now record the following database events: transaction start, commit and rollback events.
- Users were previously unable to launch Profile when their local Windows desktop had scaling enabled (e.g., at 150%), and they were connecting to a virtual desktop environment to launch Profile. This has been fixed.
- Optimizations have been applied to the To Do List in the Work Centre. Users will see significant performance improvements to this area when loading this view.
- In the Queue Manager, several items were not translated to French, including the window title and column names. This has been fixed.
- In some cases where the primary Intrahealth Enterprise Manager (IHEM) server had an error, the Profile clients connected to it were not switched over to the secondary IHEM server. This has been fixed, along with automatic restart of the primary IHEM server and enabling new monitoring so that we can handle failures more effectively in future.
- A pair of Exception errors occurred in certain cases with some graphical elements in Profile, including the date selector calendar UI:
- EOutOfResources: Error creating window device context
- EInvalidOperation: Canvas does not allow drawing
This has been fixed. |
