| # Update on Health Connect and Provider Direct Access
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the user experience, newly branded versions of the Health Connect and Provider Direct web portals were introduced earlier this year. These web-based platforms provide a more consistent, secure, and feature-rich experience—optimized for access across all devices, with no app download required.
To support this transition, the mobile apps for Health Connect and Provider Direct will be officially retired as of July 1st 2025. While existing app users may continue to use the apps, they will no longer receive updates or support, and the apps will be removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
We encourage all users to begin using the web portals to take full advantage of the latest tools, features, and performance enhancements. |

- Actions\Can Create Manual Transactions (NEW role action)
* Right-click option "Edit Measurement" renamed to "View Properties"

- This opens the original location of where the measure has been recorded, e.g., form, encounter, laboratory result, to allow the user to edit the recorded measurement from the original creation point.Note: laboratory results cannot be edited
* Any edits to a measure are recorded in the Clinical Transaction Versions log.
Users are not required to add the new role action manually as it will automatically be granted if Clinical\Measures\Update Measures Items is already granted prior to the upgrade. |

# Defects

| Documents, Scanning, and Letters | - BMP files created via Windows Explorer now attach and display properly in encounters, matching Paint-saved BMP behavior**.** No manual conversion needed.
- The Transcriptionist field now correctly displays all searchable fields (Class selector + "Display Only Class" checkbox) when accessed via the ellipsis button. "Display Only Class" now defaults to unchecked, allowing combined searches for both Provider and User types by default. |
| Financial | * Discounted amounts on invoice lines now persist after reopening, editing, or applying new codes. Final invoice submission now retains the last saved amounts without automatic adjustments.
* Claims with Role 3: Assist General now automatically populate the Unit $ field based on the claim date range:
- Pre-April 2023: $1.56
- April 2023 – March 2024: $1.57
- April 2024 onward: $1.58
This applies to unsent claims in the Billing view. |
| Forms; Obstetrics | - When printing the antenatal form, the Fundus/Fundal Height in Section 17 would print with a 0 where it was blank. This has been fixed.
- The Antenatal form's "Mode of Birth" section has been aligned with the paper form, resolving issues with data confusion. |
| Medications | * Previously, Sign Groups were not appearing in the dropdown within the Medication Reconciliation App. This issue has now been resolved and authenticated users will now see the appropriate Sign Groups displayed as expected.
* To improve prescription accuracy and ensure clinical completeness, the Route of Administration field is now mandatory when adding or editing a medication in the system. Users are now required to select a route (e.g., oral, IV, topical) before saving a medication entry. If no route is selected, the system prompts the user with an error message.
* The Route field is now mandatory across all medication workflows. Orders with a missing Route show clear validation errors and block submission.
* The Expiry Date now updates automatically in the Edit Instruction window when "Auto-Calculate" is enabled, eliminating the need to click OK.The Prior Scripts panel now reflects the correct expiry date in real time after prescribing or editing, removing manual refresh requirements. |
| Obstetrics | - When the Scan Date/Age has been changed, a dialog message is presented. The wording of this dialog has been corrected. |
| Printing and Faxing | * The following corrections have been made to order settings:
- Pathology Orders:
- Fasting requirements now display both status and duration (e.g., "Fasting: 12h") on printouts.
- A clear "Hormone Therapy: YES/NO" indicator has been added to pathology order forms.
- Signatures now appear perfectly centered on signature lines without cutoff.
- Radiology Orders:
- Fasting information now properly displays on radiology order printouts.
- Signature alignment has been fixed (centered and never cut off).
- The hormone therapy field is now properly hidden for radiology orders.
* Pathology & Radiology Orders:
- Orders with 7+ tests/procedures now automatically wrap text correctly, preventing cutoff or footer overlap.
- All multi-item orders maintain proper formatting when printed or exported as PDFs. |
| User Management and Settings | - IHServer could not connect when the database was in read-only mode, causing service startup failures. This has been fixed. |
| Referral | * Previously, when creating or updating an inward referral, all closure reasons were showing up as ‘NULL’, regardless of the selected Closure Decision value. This issue has now been fixed. The Reason field now properly filters options based on the selected Closure Decision when reopening referrals.
* Referral details now save seamlessly without unexpected prompts when editing fields. Modified referrals now close properly without additional prompts, returning users to the Referrals View. |
| Results | - Documents or results received through the BC CDX interface were being matched to inactive providers in some cases. This has been fixed. |
| User Management and Settings | * Previously, Profile did not accept 00:00 (Midnight) in the Work Time "To" field under Preferences/Appointment/Visual, and the value would reset when saved or navigating away. This issue has now been fixed. |
