This impacted our ability to proactively detect and address performance issues across the system.

This enhancement introduces the groundwork for a new, scalable mechanism to collect and analyze performance metrics. As a first step, we are integrating Application Insights to capture telemetry for key workflows and critical user actions.

This enhancement enables us to track real-world performance more accurately, detect issues faster, and make data-driven decisions to optimize user experience.

Key Changes:
* Refactored the task management model to separate general Tasks from Scheduled Tasks for clarity and improved performance. * Split existing tables into more targeted structures to reduce query complexity. * Implemented database updates and data migration scripts to transfer existing records to the new structure. * Updated dependent features and queries to align with the revised data model.

Benefits:
* Improved database query performance and responsiveness for task-related operations. * Reduced load on the system when processing or retrieving scheduled tasks. * Clearer separation of concerns within the data model, aiding future scalability and maintenance.

However, since this logging can add a lot of detail which is not always needed, an administrative setting ("Log all appointment lock/unlock activity") has been added under Preferences/General/Appointment to switch this logging on/off as needed. The setting is selected by default. When deselected, no new lock/unlock events are logged. Existing logs of lock/unlock events are unchanged. - Improvements have been made to the way in which Profile interacts with NES by reimplementing integrations in an asynchronous manner. This means Profile can now continue running smoothly without delays while NES requests are processed in the background. - When using the Profile Online Booking system, patients were still able to book into slots that were blocked out in Profile. This has been fixed, and blocked out slots can no longer be booked. | | Email | * When sending an email from Profile within a Patient Case, the Patient and Case fields autopopulate in the email window by default. | | Encounters | - Previously, cases were not being applied to an Encounter when creating Measures through the Case Clinical Details window. Now, the Key Measurements Encounter is created and attached to the same Case as the Case in Context for that Case Clinical Details window. - Previously, if an Encounter was created, a linked Referral was created, and then Notes were added to the Encounter, these Notes were not saved. This has been corrected. | | External Providers | * There is a function to import datafiles with the latest fee codes from BC MSP in Organization/Import & Export/General/Import tab/MSP Reference Datafiles. This import process updates Service Codes and Rates, as well as facility External Providers. Some issues have been raised with the External Provider component of this import, so this behaviour has been deprecated. A preference has been added under Preferences/Technical/Deprecated that is unchecked by default: "Import External Provider Facilities as part of MSP Reference Datafiles Import". If this preference is checked, External Provider records will be created or updated during the MSP Reference Datafiles import process as before. This preference setting is available only for British Columbia, Canada, as MSP Reference is available only for that region. | | Forms | - Previously, Profile would freeze when opening the EMR or Care window, typically defaulting to the Case/Encounters view. The Clinical Info Panel failed to load, appearing as a grey rectangle, while the mouse cursor turned into a spinning wheel. The application became completely unresponsive until forcibly closed. This has now been fixed to ensure stable loading of the Clinical Info Panel and prevent hangs.  - Previously, some form templates were not displaying correctly when users accessed the system in French. This issue has now been resolved. Users in French-language environments will now see all available form templates, consistent with English environments. - Previously, Profile Marketplace was prevented from showing more than 165 form templates. This has been fixed. Users can now access and view all form templates available in the Marketplace. | | Medications | * If the user makes several edits to Frequency preferences under Preferences/General/Scripts and Instructions/Administration, they expect all of these edits to be saved. However, previously, when the user navigated away from the Preferences window and returned, only one Frequency preference would be saved. This has been corrected so that all edits made to Frequency preferences are now saved. * Users can now select MedCharts filters (created under Medical Record/MedChart/Edit Filters) from the dropdown at Preferences/Scripts and Instructions/MedChart/EMR/MedChart View EMR/MedChart view for action panel "MedChart Report Discontinued', fixing the previously broken 'MedChart Report Discontinued' option. Printing MedChart Report Generic and MedChart Report Discontinued now works without errors. | | Patient Record | - Previously, if the user was in the Medical Record Overview, clicked on a view, and then clicked on the Back button, the system would hang instead of returning to the Medical Record Overview. This has been corrected. | | Printing and Faxing | * Previously, when the user set ‘Urgent' and 'Fasting' checkboxes to 'True’ on an order form, this was not reflected as expected on the printed order. This has been corrected. * Previously, when the user added Rx comments on an order form, this was not reflected as expected on the printed order. This has been corrected. | | Reporting and Analytics | - The Profile Client would lose connection with the Server in a few instances while a user was editing an Encounter. As a result, work was lost that was not saved. This has been corrected and Profile users will now have the option to "Try to restore connection" without having to Restart or Terminate Profile. | | Tasks | * An exception appeared in some cases when switching between filter views in Work Centre/Tasks where one was set to Simple Mode and the other wasn’t.
