**Please refer to your billing training notes when submitting billing in your clinic. Using Quick-Bill as anon-provider to create billing lines on behalf of a Provider is not a standard workflow and can cause issues if not done correctly.&#xA0;**

**Please use caution when quick billing as these claims will eventually be sent to provincial processing centers.**

Requirements

- The non-provider must have role action Quick Bill at a minimum, Financial Monitor role, or Administrative Power User role granted.
- The non-provider must set as "Works For" the Provider they are creating billing lines on behalf of.

This specific workflow involves:

1. A Provider creates a new encounter, types notes and generates a new letter, forms, prescriptions etc.
2. The Provider tasks a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to carry out various tasks such as generating billing lines.
3. The MOA opens the patient Medical Record window,  edit Encounter view.
4. The MOA clicks Quick Bill and the Quick Bill window opens.
5. The MOA populates the Provider field with the name of the Provider that has seen the patient.

| Tip: Use the Retain feature to re-use the same provider name for all future Quick Bill actions.<br />:::hint{type="success"}
Click Retain, place a checkmark next to Provider, click save, OK. This will ensure the same provider name is pre-populated each time. Click the On/Off to enable or disable the Retain feature.
