important notice starting july 2025 , the health connect and provider direct mobile apps will no longer be supported users are encouraged to transition to the web versions for continued access key details a persistent deprecation notice will appear on every app launch, informing users of the transition the web versions are optimised for all devices, offering enhanced features, better security, and a seamless user experience during the transition period, users can still access app features after acknowledging the notice post deprecation, the app will display a message directing users to the web version, with a customer friendly link (e g , "health connect" or "provider direct") to the web portal action required users should begin transitioning to the web version to ensure uninterrupted access to their accounts overview & requirements this article is intended for users of profile it describes all areas of the provider direct provider direct allows the provider to access profile outside of the clinic environment, using their smartphone, tablet or computer depending on the access permissions set up by the clinic, the provider can view patients, personal info, appointments, a message can be sent to another provider or to a patient patients the patients screen displays recent patients and the provider can search for a specific patient in the whole database if applicable, a list of cases will display for each patient patient home page once the provider has searched for a patient, the patient home page displays this is the patient’s medical record the provider can call the patient by pressing the provider can also access a map of the patient’s address by pressing for cases, the open case for the patient is shown in the header area of the patient home screen items, like new encounters, that are created while in this case will automatically be associated with the case, just like in profile when the provider presses at the top right hand side, they can now create a new message to the patient or to create a new encounter for the patient, in addition to the quick actions for new task and new message clinical summary the clinical summary screen displays static provides details on the provider direct application itself send photo to profile the send photo to profile functionality allows the provider to take a photo or select a photo from a photo library or album if the provider is logged in to profile on their computer at the same time as they are sending a photo from provider direct, the shared files window in profile will appear, displaying the photo
