# Simplify the Sending and Receiving of your eReferrals Today!

Profile EMR has integrated with Ocean MD to provide your organisation with a streamlined and efficient way to send and receive eRreferrals. This integration offers direct access to the Ocean platform, from within Profile, making the referral process smoother.

With the click of a button, clinics can open the Ocean Healthmap to connect seamlessly with an array of external providers. This feature enables users to compare options and make well-informed choices that best suit their patient's needs. Once a provider has been selected, certain referral information will be populated, and additional information can be entered as needed. You can also attach relevant documents related to the patient's care at the time of referral, and track request statuses.   

In addition to being able to send referrals, the Profile eReferrals functionality is also bidirectional meaning that Profile can also act as a target system, allowing you to accept eReferrals as well.
