Ocean is a patient engagement platform developed by OceanMD™, a subsidiary of WELL Health Technologies. Profile has the ability to synchronise with Ocean's Online Booking system.

## Requirements

- Profile's licensed Ocean module

## Register an Ocean Account

To use Ocean's platform, you will need to register an Ocean account. Follow Step 1 and 2 of Ocean's** **[Getting Started](https://www.cognisantmd.com/getting-started/)guide to sign up and verify your Ocean account.

## Enabling Ocean in Profile

1. Go to **Organisation/Preferences/Setup/eMessages**
2. Drag **Ocean Online Booking** from the **Available Services** column to the **Installed Services** column

3. A pop-up window will appear. Make sure to save the **Client ID** and **Client Secret** details to input into Ocean later and press **OK**.

4. **Ocean Online Booking** should now be in the **Installed Services** list.

## Connecting Ocean and Profile

1. Log in to Ocean Cloud Connect at [cloudconnect.cognisantmd.com/login.do](http://cloudconnect.cognisantmd.com/login.do) using your Ocean account details.
2. Press the **Configure EMR** button. A pop-up will appear showing a list of EMRs registered with Ocean.
3. Press **FHIR-Based EMR**.
4. Press **Next**. The Setup EMR Integration pop-up will appear:

5. To obtain the **FHIR API URL** field you first need the **Organisation Web URL** configured at **Organisation/Preferences/Setup/Internet/Messages** in Profile as in the example below\.For all hosted customers, the **Organisation Web URL** is provided by the Intrahealth team. If you do not have this configured, speak to your Customer Service Representative.

Once the **Organisation Web URL **has been configured as described above, the **FHIR API URL **is autopopulated into Profile's **Ocean Properties** configuration at **Organisation/Preferences/Setup/eMessages/Ocean**with "ocean" appended to it for the eMessage service, as in the example below\.This **FHIR API URL **setting is what you should use in Ocean's **Setup EMR Integration** configuration.Note: If the **Organisation Web URL** is empty, then the eMessage Service **FHIR API URL** will also be empty.

6. Insert the **Client ID** and **Client Secret** given to you in Profile (see the **General **tab in the **Ocean Properties **configuration in Profile, as in the example below) in the corresponding fields in Ocean's **Setup EMR Integration** configuration.

7. In the **OAuth2 Token URL** field in Ocean's **Setup EMR Integration** configuration, enter the same URL as the **FHIR API URL** field above, but with "**/token**" appended to the end. Note that this is the same as the **OAuth2 Token URL **property in the **Ocean Properties **as well, as shown below.

8. Once you have all these fields configured in the Ocean **Setup EMR Integration** configuration, press the **Connect to FHIR EMR **button. Ocean should now be synced with Profile.
