**Problem**
MSP claims are rejected by MSP because claims messages for service codes for in-hospital services must not have the "to date" specified.
Example: 14199 service code MSP claims

**Solution**
To prevent Profile from filling in the "to date" information, the MSP Quantity Billing macro and a means of defining the exception service codes through a list managed in short codes is available. The macro has to be set up by adding the exception service codes to the short code list.
Instructions:
1\. Go to Maintain \ Short Codes.
2\. In the list on the left side, scroll down to MSP Quantity Billing
3\. Type the service code and description in the appropriate fields and click New
4\. Repeat step 3, adding all applicable exception codes
5\. Done
You should now be able to resubmit the claims without issue. The "to date" information will not be sent for the service codes in the short code list.
