# Manage Medication Orders from the Work Centre

The Work Centre view in Profile provides a holistic view of all medication across the patient population. It can be used to monitor expiring medications and administer medication to a group of patients.

## Monitoring Expired Medication Orders or Orders Due to Expire

Medication orders are legally valid for 1 year, however your system administrator may have set a shorter time limit, after which time they will expire automatically and will need to be re-ordered by the appropriate provider. To monitor medication orders which have expired or are due to expire for your patient population carry out the following steps:

1. Open the **Work Centre **and select **Med Chart Review **from the segment list.
2. Select the relevant filter from the drop-down list. It is important to note that filters will be created by your system administrator based on the requirements of your organisation.

3. The following screen is displayed listing the applicable patients' details based on the filter you have selected:

4. Columns displayed are also dictated by the creation of the filter. Some common columns are as follows:
5. Single click on the name of the patient to view further details in the bottom half of the screen. The left side will display the order details. The right side will display links to all encounters in the patient’s medical record related to any of their orders.
