# Article Overview & Feature Requirements

This article explains how Clinicians or Administrators can load prescribed medications from the **MedChart** tab into the **Discharge Reconciliation **view.

## Feature Requirements

- Profile version 10.0.8 or higher
- MedChart should be enabled by adding the Medications licensed module.
- Role granted: **Load MedChart to Discharge Reconciliation**(See [Enable and Disable Discharge Reconciliation Actions in Profile](docId\:YYC5Bqk-UoD9HujA_SSQI) for instructions on how an Administrator would grant this role.)

# How to Load Medications to the Discharge Reconciliation View

## Steps

1. Open up the Medical Record for the applicable patient.
2. Select **MedChart **on the left-hand side. The MedChart view is selected by default. 
3. In the MedChart view, click **Load to Discharge**.(This option is visible *only if *the **Load MedChart to Discharge Reconciliation **role has been [granted](docId\:YYC5Bqk-UoD9HujA_SSQI).)

4. You will be asked to confirm whether you want to copy all active medications to the **Discharge Reconciliation** view\.If you are ready to do so, click **Yes**.

## Result

This action copies all medications that have an active (Pending, Normal, or Expiring) status to the **Discharge Reconciliation **view.

**Notes:**
\- Medications with a status of Expired, Discontinued, or Hold are *not *loaded to the **Discharge Reconciliation **view.
\- The **Orderer **value recorded in the **Discharge Medication **view is based on the User (Provider) that initiates the **Load to Discharge **action.
\- The **Signed By **column is blank in the **Discharge Reconciliation **view when initially loaded.
