# Overview & Requirements

The Chat feature allows you to communicate with multiple colleagues on an array of topics, directly within Profile. Being able to find and access your conversation history, when you need it, is important. The following article will focus on how to view conversation history in chat. It will cover the different conversation views, as well as how to switch from one conversation to another.

## Requirements

- Version 9.0 or above.

# Conversation Views

## New Conversation View

When you begin a new conversation, the new conversation view will appear, by default.

## Individual and Group Conversation Views

Once you compose and send your first message, inside either an Individual or a Group Chat, the view will change. The messages sent by group members will be visible. The most recent messages will be shown at the bottom of the screen.

# View Conversation History from Another Chat

All chats (whether they are an Individual or a Group Chat) are kept in the left panel in the **Messages** tab. To change from one Chat to another, or to view your Chat history, follow the steps below:

1. Click on the **Messages** tab.
2. Scroll through the list to find the appropriate Chat. 
3. Click on the required Individual or Group Chat, and the conversation history will appear in the conversation view on the right. 
4. Scroll through the conversation to view the chat history.

**Note:** All recent conversation history will be shown at the bottom of the conversation view.
