article overview & feature requirements the following article is intended for all users and will cover how to use nexus ai™ in profile feature requirements profile version 9 0 1 and above please reach out to your customer success manager and/or sales representative for installation instructions installation must be completed as per the nexus ai installation instructions document use profile’s nexus ai™ feature in seven simple steps note nexus ai in profile requires that the installation described in the nexus ai installation instructions document has occurred if this has not happened the feature will not launch directly from the profile toolbar you can confirm with your system administrator or it team that this process has taken place step 1 launch nexus ai™ once the installation is complete, you’re ready to launch the nexus ai feature in profile open profile and navigate to the patient’s chart where you wish to document locate the toolbar at the top of the screen click the nexus ai button to open the ai powered scribe generator step 2 login enter your assigned username and password details in the spaces provided click the login button note if this is your first time signing in, the system will require you to change your password with the initial login for security purposes follow the on screen instructions to complete the password change processes once the password has been updated, you can access the nexus ai tool for all future sessions using your new credentials step 3 start voice dictation it is now time to start dictating your notes as you do this, nexus ai will transcribe your speech into real time text to begin this process click the start a new encounter button you'll notice this section of the page changes, and a microphone icon now appears you can click on the microphone icon (found at the bottom of the page) and you can also click on the pause icon to pause the voice dictation recording, if needed speak clearly into your microphone, providing all necessary details for the note or document verbal consent window also appears during this stage when finished, click on the stop button, to end the voice dictation recording step 4 select a template it is now time to choose how you wish the document to be formatted select the document type that suits you best from the list of available templates from the drop down menu options include things like patient notes, referrals, and letters etc you will notice that the nexus ai tool will now apply the formatting based on your selected template review and finalise your notes step 5 copy to clipboard once you are happy with your notes, it's time to copy them to the clipboard click the copy button within the nexus ai tool this will store the entire note in your clipboard, making it ready for pasting step 6 paste into profile now it's time to transfer your note into the relevant location in profile return to the patient's chart in profile navigate to the appropriate section for documentation (ex encounter notes or referral letters) right click in the text field and select paste alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut (ctrl+ v on windows, or cmd + v on mac) you will now see your content inserted into the patient's chart step 7 save your document now that the document is within profile, make sure to save it to the chart click the save button in profile the process is now complete learn more for more information on nexus ai please click on the article links below nexus ai™ in profile docid 3bcd956hau5goheiwqsstfaq nexus ai™ ai scribe in profile docid 8onhubq9mnpp kpmh2njs
