# Overview

This article addresses the configuration checks and changes that are necessary in order to be able to use the Profile Modern Login. 

These instructions are intended for a system administrator.

## System Requirements

- Profile V10.0.5 
- Installed Profile Server 
- Supported Web Browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox. No official support for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Brave.

# Configuration Checks and Changes

Perform the following configuration checks and changes to ensure that your users will be able to use the Profile Modern Login.

Check that your Profile installation is version 10.0.5 or newer.  

1. The version number can be found under **Help/About**.

Check that Profile authentication is set to “Local Database”. 

1. This setting is found under **Organisation/Preferences/Technical/Integration/Environment/Login with**

Change the user’s Profile shortcut to include necessary parameters as follows: 

1. Right-click the Profile shortcut and select **Properties**.
2. Under **Target:**, add the following after *Profile.exe*:“ -sso –protocol=https –endpoint=443 –autoini –server=port.yourEMRurl.com”

**Note: **The URL above is an example. Please replace "port.yourdomainURL" with your own Server found on the Profile Server Login screen.
