**Important Notice: **
Starting **July 2025**, the **Health Connect **and **Provider Direct mobile apps** will no longer be supported. Users are encouraged to transition to the **web versions** for continued access.
**Key Details:**
-A persistent deprecation notice will appear on every app launch, informing users of the transition.
  -The web versions are optimised for all devices, **offering enhanced features, better security, and a seamless user experience.**
-During the transition period, users can still access app features after acknowledging the notice.
  -Post-deprecation, the app will display a message directing users to the web version, with a customer-friendly link (e.g., "Health Connect" or "Provider Direct") to the web portal.
  **Action Required:**
-Users should begin transitioning to the web version to ensure uninterrupted access to their accounts.

# Overview & Requirements

With Health Connect, patients can pay invoices directly using their credit card, provided the organisation has made this possible by creating a Stripe account and configuring Profile appropriately. This article will go over that process. It is intended for System Administrators.

# Requirements

- A bank account to receive payments in
- An Stripe account
- Health Connect
- Profile Version 9 and above

App Updates:

- Users must update the app to the latest version from the App Store to ensure compatibility and access to the latest features.

Portal Installation: 

- Ensure that portals are correctly installed within the Profile build. Ensure that web servers are correctly configured. Ensure all Rules specified in the technical installation guide is configured correctly. Please reach out to Support if you have any questions regarding this step. 

Version Compatibility:

- Version 9 and above: Supports the portal (Patient Portal)
- Version 10.1 and above: Supports the rebranded portal (Health Connect)

Version Alignment:

- Profile version 9 grants access to version 9 of portal
- Profile version 10.0.2 grants access to version 10.0.2 of portal

# Stripe Configuration 

## Create a Stripe Account

Organisations will need to create their own account at [https://dashboard.stripe.com/register](https://dashboard.stripe.com/register) and link a bank account of their choosing to receive the payments in. 

## Install Stripe Payments eMessage Service in Profile

In Profile, a system administrator must install and configure the Stripe Payments eMessage Service. 

Go to **Organisation / Preferences / Setup / eMessages.**

1. Drag **Stripe Payments** from **Available Services** to **Installed Services**.
2. In the **Stripe Payments Properties **window, enter the **Publishable Key** and **API Key **values from the Stripe account.
3. Click **OK **to save.

## See Patient Payments in Profile

In Profile, go to **Alter Patient / Transactions **to see financial transactions for the patient. 

Payments will be applied to the most recent outstanding invoices where the payer is the patient.
