# Overview & Requirements

This article will cover the Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration process of connecting an Okta instance to Profile. It will focus on configuring Preferences, as well as setting up Okta usernames in Profile.

## Requirements

- SSO is a licensed module and will need to be setup by Intrahealth. Please contact your Intrahealth representative if you wish to enable this feature.
- Access to a fully functioning, setup Okta Dashboard 
- Okta org site 
- Client ID (from Okta)
- Client Secret (from Okta)
- Okta Usernames for Profile (from Okta)

# Configure Single Sign-On for Okta in Profile

## Configuring Preferences in Profile for SSO with Okta

Go to **Organisation** / **Preferences** / **Technical** / **Integration** / **Environment** tab

1. Select **Okta** from the **Login with** drop down menu.
2. Add in the relevant Okta org site in the **Okta Org site (root)**. \[Found from Okta - **Application** / **Application** / **General **tab / **Client ID**].
3. Add the **Client ID**, in the space provided.  \[Found from Okta - **Application** / **Application** / **General **tab / **Client ID**].
4. Add the **Client Secret**, in the space provided. \[From from Okta - **Application** / **Application** / **General **tab / **Client Secrets**]
5. Select **Apply** and** OK **to confirm the changes.

Go to **Organisation** / **Preferences** / **Setup** / **Internet** / **Messages** tab

1. Fill in the **Organisation Web URL** (from Okta), in the space provided. Please contact Support for these details. This URL will allow the user to be directed to either a success login page or an error page, when trying to sign in via SSO.
2. Select **Apply** and** OK** to confirm the changes. The preferences in Profile should now be configured.

## Setup an Okta Username in Profile

Go to **Organisation** / **People & Places **

1. Find and double click on the provider needing access to SSO.

2. Go to **Special**.
3. Check the **Okta Username** checkbox, and make sure that the provider's **Okta Username**, found here, is the same as the provider's username found within Okta. \[Found from **Application** / **Application** / **Assignments **tab / **Person**].
4. Select **Apply** and **OK** to confirm the changes. The Okta usernames setup process should now be complete.
