# Overview & Requirements

The following article is intended for System Administrators or technical users of Profile.

It will demonstrate how to customise a user's Profile application executable shortcut in order to successfully launch Single Sign-On with Microsoft Entra ID. 

## Requirements

- Profile version 10.0.5 or later
- Microsoft Entra ID for your organization's Identity Management
- SSO Microsoft Entra ID license for Profile
- Configuration processes have been completed

# Configure a Profile User's Application Shortcut to Use SSO (Microsoft Entra ID) Login Method

To successfully launch SSO with Microsoft Entra ID, users need to customise their Profile application executable shortcut by adding additional parameters.

In the Profile build folder, locate Profile.exe and create a shortcut named "Profile.exe - SSO" to clearly indicate that this shortcut uses the SSO method.

Right click **Profile.exe - SSO** shortcut and open properties.

Click the **Shortcut **tab.

At the end of the **Target **field, enter the following: "**-sso -Server=**server path **-protocol=https -endpoint=443**

- **Note:** The URL above is an example. Please replace "server path" with your own Server found on the Profile Server Login screen.

Click **OK** to save.

When double-clicking on this new Profile shortcut, it will show the Microsoft Entra ID login screen if the following pre-requisites were previously completed:
