Use any of these methods to open the **Find Patients** window:

Select **Patient** -> **Find Patients** from Main Menu or Select **Find Patients** button on the Toolbar or ‘**Ctrl F**’

Click on the appropriate segment from the side menu and enter your search criteria

For example, to search on an age range:

- Select the **General** Segment
- In the **Age** field enter the age range such as **1...19** which will find all patients within the ages of 1 – 19. (You will notice that the **DOB** (Date of Birth) field will automatically populate according to the ages entered in the age field). **Tip**: click on the ellipsis which will display the 'Search qualifiers’ to refine your search

- Click the** Find** button
- The **Find Patient Results** window appears displaying the list of records matching your search criteria

You may select one of the following options: 
:::

1. **Add** - to add a patient that does not appear on the list
2. **Remove** - to remove a patient(s) from the list (highlight and click remove)
3. **Letter** - to print a letter for the selected patient(s) -> set the appropriate parameters, click OK, select the relevant letter, if required and select OK
4. **Again** - to display the original list of search results
5. **Alter** - to access the Patient window in edit ode for highlighted patients
6. **Display** - to access the Patient window in display mode for the highlighted patients
7. to **Save** the found list, go to **File** -> **Save** on the Main Menu -> type an appropriate Description for the list and click the **OK** button
