# Frequently Asked Questions

## Background & Benefits

### What is the purpose of Profile's Admission Medication Reconciliation feature?

Profile supports inpatient workflows for hospice and rest homes. In an inpatient care setting, the care team works with the patient and or their family to create a plan of care that outlines the actions and goals of the patient's individualised care. As part of that care plan, having a streamlined medication reconciliation workflow is imperative to ensure that the patient is taking the appropriate medication during their stay and also after they are transitioned out. The Admission Reconciliation feature in Profile can be an effective tool for this scenario.

### What are the benefits of using Profile's Admission Medication Reconciliation feature?

Profile's Admission Medication Reconciliation feature can:

- Ensure accurate and timely drug administration
- Reduce the risk of medication errors
- Improve overall patient safety and treatment outcomes in a hospital setting.

- Self-hosted customers will need IIS and HTTP set up. Please contact Intrahealth for more information.
- Admission Reconciliation is a feature of the MedChart liscensed module for inpatient medication management. Please contact the Intrahealth Support team at help\@intrahealth.com  to enable MedChart.

### The Admission Medication Reconciliation feature is a launched web-browser. Which browsers are supported?

The supported web browsers are Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera.

### How do I configure/set up Profile's Admission Medication Reconciliation feature?

### Do I need to enable a Signature workflow?

Currently, the Admission Medication Reconciliation enforces two signatures. This assumes that a user and/or groups must be added to the new group types (see the "Setting up Signing Groups" section of the [Configure and Setup the Admission Medication Reconciliation Feature in Profile](docId\:JQNuRrfMfZw4TAW-mCoAA) article).

If no users are added to both the Review and signing groups, you will not be permitted to complete the Medication review.

## Language

### Is French supported?

Yes. This feature allows multi language support, English and French.

The Admission Reconciliation language is dependent on the Profile EMR database language and the user's personal UI language preferences (French or English) set in their Profile EMR.

The Admission Reconciliation language defaults to the Profile EMR databse language. This means that if the Profile EMR database is set to French, then the Admission Reconciliation webview will be on French and vice versa. Tasks created for the Reviewer or Provider should also change language accordingly.

If the Admission Reconciliation window is opened during a language change, the user will see the changes after refreshing the web view.

## Functionality

### Do you allow multiple admission reconciliation records to be created at the same time?

No. Only one incomplete admission record per patient is allowed.

The create new button is disabled if there are any in-progress admission records.

### How does the formulary search work?

As the user types in the **Search** field and the results appear, the modal is divided into a left and a right side. The results get shown on the left side. The right side remains blank until a medication is selected from the results list.
