# Overview

This article is intended for Clinical Users. It will cover the changes made to the contact provider display, and clinical signoff workflow in the Encounter view.

# Contact Provider Display Changes

Some changes to the contact** **provider display have been made in the **Medical Record / Encounters **view. This was done to provide more detail around which provider created the contact, and the date/time they created it. This applies specifically if more than one contact was made within the same day.

## Edit Encounter View

If only one provider has created the contacts, the provider's name, date, and timestamp will be shown under the **Edit Encounter **toolbar. It will not appear next to the **Contact 1 **header.

If more than one provider has been creating additional contacts (within the same day) the original provider's name will appear, as explained above. The new provider's name, date and timestamp will be shown next to **Contact 2**, as seen below:

## Contact Properties Window

The same details can be seen in the **Contact Properties Window**.

This can be done by double clicking the hyperlink of the appropriate **Contact** in the **Encounter **view. The example below is for **Contact 2**.

# Clinical Sign off Workflow

## Clinical Signoff History in the Encounters View

In the **Medical Record / Encounter **view, if a new encounter with a couple of clinician entries has been created, they will show as **Unsigned**.

Once the **sign **icon in the **Encounters** toolbar has been clicked, the **Unsigned **reference will be removed, as shown in the example below.

**Note: **Once an **Encounter** has been signed, you will not be able to edit the appropriate contact. It should be greyed out.

## View Signoff History in the Versions Window

To view signoff history around a contact,** **you can right click inside the appropriate encounter date within the **Encounter View**, and select **View previous versions.  **

**This will open the Compare Clinical Transaction Versions window.**

**The details around the signoff history can be seen in their respective columns within this window. Details like Date Time**, **Author**, provider **Signed By**, and **Version** are all now represented.
