For a user to perform any actions to the** **Admission Reconciliation** **for a Patient, they need to have the proper role actions. The following role actions are needed:

| Role Action | Detail |

| **Medication Reconciliation** | - The Medication Reconciliation role action is the only condition that needs to be met for a user to see the** **Med Reconciliation link** **in the Patient's Medical Record.****
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    |
| **MedChart** | * The **Medchart** role action** **needs to be assigned for the user to see the Admission Reconciliation Table** **View** **in the** **Admission Reconciliation tab. Without it, the user cannot see the Admission Reconciliation Table view, and an error page will be shown. |
| **Can Edit Admission Reconciliation record** | - This role action will allow the user to view, create, edit, delete but not sign as Approved
- If the user does not have **Can Edit Admission Reconciliation record **but does have MedChart, they will automatically have view access to the Admission Reconciliation record tab.
- If the user does not have **Can Edit Admission Reconciliation record** and does not have MedChart, they will not see the Admission Reconciliation record** **table, an Error page will be displayed. |
| **Can Prescribe** | * The role action for **Provider Signature ** will leverage the existing role action for **Can Prescribe**[(see the "Provider Signature" ](docId\:x5ygT7oTDwHuqPq2rDHAb)section of our Technical Reference Guide: Profile's Admission Medication Reconciliation Feature article).
* This means that any provider that has **Medication Reconciliation, MedChart**, **Can Edit Admission Reconciliation record**, and has the **Can prescribe **role action can complete the signing process for authorising the medications (see the[ "Provider Signature"](docId\:x5ygT7oTDwHuqPq2rDHAb)section of our Technical Reference Guide: Profile's Admission Medication Reconciliation Feature article). |
| **Can Create New Order** | - This role action, in addition to the **Can Prescribe** role action is needed to complete the signing process for authorising the medications and loading them to MedChart. |

**Note: **Profile instances are widely configurable and may differ in their settings and configurations where action roles can be inherited or need to be manually added. Aside from the four role actions (mentioned above as a direct dependency for the Admission Reconciliation feature) it is important that users have the appropriate role (Nurse/Doctor) assigned to their user profile. This is needed in order for them to see the uploaded medications in the Patient's MedChart, as an inherited indirect dependency for Admission Reconciliation.
Likewise, the action role **Can Create New Order** should be granted as an inherited indirect dependency for the Admission Reconciliation signing process conducted by providers.

## Setting up Signing Groups

There are two new hard-coded** **Group types that have been introduced for the Admission Reconciliation workflow. They are listed in the table below.

The facility will be required to create groups within each of these Group types, and add users to these groups:

See our article on [How to Add a Provider to a Provider Group](docId\:YXKnWanMzXKq2U3kofWlA) for more information on this process.

| Group Type | Details |
| ---------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Medication Review Group** | - This will be used for the group performing the Review and Sign workflow (see the ["Submitting the Admission Reconciliation Record for Review"](docId\:x5ygT7oTDwHuqPq2rDHAb) section of our Technical Reference Guide: Profile's Admission Medication Reconciliation Feature article).
- The group members for Med Review Group should have the following permissions assigned to each user:
  1. Medication Reconciliation
  2. MedChart
  3. Can Edit Permission Reconciliation record |
| **Medication Signing Group** | * This will be used for the Provider Group to Authorise or Sign an Admission reconciliation (see the ["Provider's Signature"](docId\:x5ygT7oTDwHuqPq2rDHAb) section of our Technical Reference Guide: Profile's Admission Medication Reconciliation Feature article).
* The group for **Medication Signing Group** should have the following permissions assigned to each user:
  1. Medication Reconciliation
  2. MedChart
  3. Can Edit Reconciliation record
  4. Can prescribe |

:::hint{type="info"}
**Note: **Users will still need to have the appropriate role actions granted. See the "Setting up Role Actions" section of this article above.
