overview the following article is meant for system administrators it will cover a number of configuration steps that can affect the display of the encounters view configuration for the encounters view display autocomplete contacts go to organisation / preferences / clinical / encounters tab the encounters view display can be configured to ether allow for contacts to automatically be completed, or to require a manual step to complete contacts this can be done by either ensuring the display is completed checkbox is ticked or not if the default is completed checkbox is ticked, any new contact you create will autocomplete if the default is completed checkbox is not ticked, any new contact you create will not autocomplete in order to complete the contact, the complete button would need to be checked track unsigned contacts the encounters view display can be configured to track unsigned contacts go to organisation / preferences / organisation / preferences tab / other field if the show unsigned flag checkbox is ticked, the contact will show as 'unsigned' if the show unsigned flag checkbox is not ticked, 'unsigned' will not appear in the contact sign encounters automatically there is a role action that, if enabled, allows a provider to automatically have their contacts signed it is called, sign encounters automatically if this role action is revoked, the contact will be listed as unsigned this is useful if a new/trainee doctor needs to have their encounters reviewed by another doctor with more experience when they create a contact, it will not get signed and will instead be listed as 'unsigned' the supervising doctor will then sign the encounter learn more for more information on the encounters view displayplease click on the article links below display changes to the encounter view in profile docid\ aq7l94a4trifbseftoaxm
