With the **Incidence** and **Prevalence** views in Profile, you can track new diagnoses made, track the prevalence of specified diseases at any point in time, and obtain information regarding the effectiveness of care over groups of patients.

You can access these views through the **Clinical** segment of Work Centre segment bar menu.

## Incidence

1. Select the **Incidence** view from the **Clinical** segment list.

2. In the dropdown field of the filter, select the desired incidence of the disease.

3. Select the diagnosis in the **Summary** panel. This brings up the graph of new cases of the disease to the right of the Summary panel and the list of patients with new cases of the disease underneath the Summary panel. The male and female distribution graphs are to the right of the patient list.

4. Filters can be viewed and created by selecting the **Edit** button next to the **View** field.

Each filter can be selected in the **Views** panel and the search parameters can be viewed or changed.To create a new filter, left click on the **New** button in the **Filter** panel, and change the view description and search parameters accordingly.

## Prevalence

1. Select the **Prevalence** view from the **Clinical** segment list.

2. In the dropdown field of the filter, select the desired prevalence of the disease.

3. Select the diagnosis in the **Summary** panel. This brings up the prevalence graph of the disease to the right of the Summary panel and the list of patients with cases of the disease at the point of time underneath the Summary panel. The male and female distribution graphs are to the right of the patient list.

4. Filters can be viewed and created by selecting the **Edit** button next to the **View** field.
