1. Go to **Maintain/ Term Cross References** from the main menu. The Term Cross References window will display the terms that are already cross referenced.

**Hot Tip**

If you delete the main term in a cross-reference set, you will also delete all cross-references associated with that term. If you delete any other term, you will only remove the specified term from the set.

2. Select the term you wish to remove and click the **Delete** icon in the toolbar.

OR

- Double-click the main term in the cross-reference set.
- Go to the **Existing Cross-References** tab.
- Check off the checkboxes next to all terms that you wish to remove.
- Click **Delete**.

3. Press **OK**

**Hot Tip**

If you perform this step for any term other than the main one in a cross-reference set, you will only be able to delete the link to the main term.
