It is intended for all users. ## Requirements - Ensure that the Role Action instructions found in [How to Set Up Clinical Calculators in Profile](docId\:PwVAGLDvUDluY2u0FvPPE) have been completed.  # Clinical Calculators Clinical Calculators is a powerful tool designed to assist healthcare providers in performing quick and accurate calculations essential for patient care. It leverages patient-specific data that may be entered in by users, or drawn from existing information already available in Profile, and performs calculations that can be added directly to the patient's Medical Record. Some calculations include BMI, Cardiovascular Risk, and Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) - The full list can be found below. ## Benefits of Use: - Reduction of errors from manual calculations - improving accuracy. - Time saved by automating complex calculations. - Aids providers in making informed decisions. - Inputs calculations directly to a patient's medical record if prompted. - Uses recent patient measures automatically. - Works in conjunction with various other Profile features like Flowsheets, Measures, and Obstetrics. # Location  Clinical Calculators are located in the **New Encounter** View of the patient's **Medical Record**.  They can also be accessed by going to either of the following Main Menu options: - **Clinical / Calculators **option  - **Case Clinical / Calculators **options** ** :::hint{type="info"} **Note: **Please see our instructions on [How to Setup Clinical Calculators in Profile](docId\:PwVAGLDvUDluY2u0FvPPE) in order to access Clinical Calculators in any of the areas mentioned above. ::: # Available Calculators The standard list of Calculators available in Profile is: [1. For additional information, please contact your Customer Success Manager. ::: ### 1. BMI (Body Mass Index) Using a patient's height and weight, the ideal weight and BMI are calculated automatically. Cockcroft-Gault Creatinine Clearance This calculator estimates the creatinine clearance based on the patient's weight and serum creatinine levels. Oral Opioid Analgesic Conversion Calculator The Oral Opioid Analgesic Conversion Calculator helps providers effectively calculate the dosage of one opioid medication to an equivalent dosage of another. This ensures safe and effective pain management while reducing the risk of overdose or inadequate pain control. If their intention is to include the calculations into the Patient's Medical Record, they can do so by rather clicking the **Calculate and Insert **button.
