cds export of patient files this document describes how to export patient files, which can be imported into another profile or another emr product requirements open source openpgp https //www openpgp org/ software will be used for data encryption and must be installed on the user’s pc windows users need to download the gpg4win software support services the export functionality has been designed to allow users to perform the patient export process if users have questions or concerns, they can create a ticket or contact intrahealth support directly if the customer would prefer intrahealth to complete the patient export/import process for them, they can request a quote for the cost of the activity through intrahealth support preparation of patient group for export creation of a dynamic patient group go to organisation/work centre from the main menu select the clinical segment and then the groups view select the dynamic patient groups folder in the dynamic groups panel then, in the groups view toolbar menu, click to create a new dynamic patient group enter the name of the patient group in the name field of the new dynamic group window and press ok in the edit group window that appears, add a caption for the patient group in the caption field, select the stored query option in the use for filtering field and then press the edit stored query button that displays the find object window opens in the object panel, click the usual doctor folder to open it and select the code item add the code item to the where table by clicking the icon in the where toolbar under the value column, enter the provider code and press ok this creates the new dynamic group creation of a static patient group go to organisation/work centre from the main menu select the clinical segment and then the groups view select the static patient groups folder in the static groups panel then, in the groups view toolbar menu, click to create a new static patient group enter the name of the patient group in the name field of the new static group window and press ok in the presentation tab, ensure the presentation settings are as desired, or select them and press ok add patients to the group by selecting the static group and clicking in groups view toolbar and searching for the patients generation of export files go to organisation/work centre from the main menu select the clinical segment and then the groups view select the group that contains the patient(s) that will be exported click in the groups view toolbar to display the patients that have been added to the group in the groups view toolbar, click from the dropdown, select list or list with audit logs to begin the file export you will be prompted to select the path/folder for the export files and select the sections that you would like to export in the patient cds export options window you can also check the show log during export process checkbox press the cds export process will begin, and the user will be prompted for file encryption encryption and compression of the files to encrypt and compress the data, profile will use the open source openpgp https //www openpgp org/ software installed on your pc while processing the cds extract, you will be prompted to enter a password for file encryption once the password is entered, the openpgp software will perform the encryption and compression of the export files and save them to the specified folder you will receive a confirmation when the process is complete transfer of the files to media devices the exported files can be found in the folder that was specified during the export process the folder will include patient data audit log information (if selected during export process) export event log readme txt the customer is responsible for safely and securely transferring the encrypted files to the media device of their choice prior to transferring the files to a media device, browse to the location of the files, and compress (zip) the main folder copy the zipped file to a media device and use password protection on the device for additional security
