Adding Measure Items

measure items can be added to embedded observations as well as added to the medical record/measures view for all patients measure addition to embedded observations go to maintain/templates/health record collection templates this opens the cdo explorer window in the all folders panel select the reference folder in the contents panel, double click embedded observations this opens the reference\embedded observations window note in this window, you can also delete any embedded observations that you don’t use by selecting the measure and left clicking the delete button please be aware that once deleted, these measures will not be seen in the measures view of the medical record click the dropdown arrow on \[+] this gives you a choice of types text , multi text , quantity , quantity range , quantity ratio , date/time , boolean (true/false), image , slice image select the type that is correct for the measure item, for example quantity range for blood pressure or quantity for height this opens the term selector window enter the measure item in the search field and press search in the terms panel, select the measure item you want to add and in the concept panels and press ok this opens the measure property window if necessary, select the content tab and click \[ ] in the dimension field to open the units and measures window in the units and measures window, select the unit of measurement and press ok complete the remaining fields if necessary, using the field descriptions as a guide and press ok the measure has now been added to embedded observations note any item in the embedded observation form can be recorded through inline editing when the system recognizes and stores such an observation in the contact, it appears as blue underlined text observations can be edited by clicking them and typing over them common measure addition this feature allows you to define the common measure items that are used for all patients from the measures view in the medical record of a patient, press the add new measure icon on the toolbar the measure items window for the patient opens click the new item icon on the toolbar to open the edit measure item window to create a new measure, click \[ ] in the concept field this opens the term selector window enter the measure item in the search field and press s earch in the terms panel, select the measure item you want to add and in the concept panels and press ok complete the remaining fields using the field descriptions as a guide and press ok to add the measure item to the list you can also select the required measure and, from the toolbar click icon description or to change the position of the measure in the list this will alter the order in which the various measures are displayed to modify the measure fields to delete the measure item to export the measure item as a jaffa file attachments
