This article is intended for users of HCare wanting to know how to record and view recorded measures for a patient.

# Information

For Measures to be logged in HCare, it will need to be set-up by your organisation first.

Measures can only be added to a patient profile through a new Encounter. See [Add a New Encounter](docId:0Ai6zrWE-LKFzZ1cT1n5Y) for more details.

## Adding a new Measure

If measures have been added to your HCare system by your organisation:

1. Create a New Encounter for the patient
2. In the **Measures **field, tap **+ Add Measure**

3. Select the type of measure, and type the measure into the **Value **field
4. Finish the details of the Encounter and tap **Save** on the top right-hand corner to save the encounter.

## Viewing Measures

All saved measures for a specific patient can be found in the **Measures **option on the left-hand sidebar in Patient Home.

The graph on the bottom of the screen creates a log of the most recent measures. 

Tapping

next to the measure will remove it from the graph

Tapping

next to the measure will include it in the graph.

Tap
