This article is intended for any user wanting to learn how to add a new Case or edit an existing Case for a patient using hCare.

# Workflow

## Adding a new Case

1. From the Provider Home, under **Patients**, select the patient you wish to add a Case for. This opens the Patient Home for that patient.
2. Tap the

3. Choose the appropriate option in the **Case Type **field. The **Case Title **will be filled in automatically once a Case Type is chosen.
4. By tapping the **Source Code 1** field, a dropdown list will appear of all the options added by your organisation.
5. In the **Responsible Clinician **field, type in the appropriate clinician to select them from the drop-down list.
6. Enter the name of the referrer in the **Referrer** field if relevant.
7. When all details are filled in, tap **Save **on the top-right hand corner of the screen

## Updating an Existing Case

1. From the Provider Home, under **Patients**, select the patient you wish to edit. This opens the Patient Home for that patient.
2. On the sidebar on the left-hand side of the screen, tap

3. Tap the Case you wish to edit to open the Edit Case screen.
4. Update the details as needed
5. Tap **Save** on the top-right corner to save changes.
