Feed left over from a prior feeding is called a "weighback" in FeedComp. Weighbacks may also be called "refusals" or "cleanups." You can manage FeedCompopen tasks on the Adjustmentsscreen. You can find this feature under the [FeedComp Menu](docId\:T93yU--9puoivxMGYpo5g).

Weighbacks help you reduce waste by adding leftover feed to existing recipes, and are typically picked up the morning after the scheduled feeding. When you create a weighback from one of yesterday’s scheduled feedings, FeedComp automatically recalculates the dry matter intake and updates the [DM Intake Report](docId\:eAxy84j_Yz0iXk43tcbrI). For example, if you pick up 200 pounds of unused feed from a pen, the dry matter intake for that pen is readjusted to subtract 200 pounds from the prior day’s feeding, which helps reduce costs and keep your ingredient amounts more precise.

## Search and Filter the Weighbacks List

Options to search and filter the open tasks list are available at the top of the screen. Follow the guidelines below when Add the open tasksreport:

- Click**Filters** at the top left of the page to limit the data that is displayed. The **Filters** side panel opens.
- Add anLocation to limit the report to a specific open tasks. Multiple open tasks can be Add. You can also type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name.
- AddLocation to limit the report to specific open tasks. Multiple open tasksnames can be Add. You can also type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name.
- Add a Location to limit the report to a specific open tasks. You can type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name.
- Adda Location**\*\*\*\* Name or Number** to limit the report to a specific open tasks. Multiple open tasks can be Add. You can also type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name or number.

## Create New Weighback

**TIP: **report are displayed in pounds or kilograms based on the unit of measure specified for your [user account](docId\:noN0kV5hwhmfaYXl0TlkE).

ClickAdd Location at the top right of the page to open the Location** Builder** and Add information for the open tasks. Follow the steps below to continue:

1. Select the **Pick up date** and **Pick up time** for the weighback. Today's date and the current time are defaulted for you.
2. Add the Location to add for the weighback. Only weighback ingredients are available for selection. See [Create New Ingredient](docId:7rbEZbVSH5o0poFnTnLpZ)to learn how to create a weighback ingredient.
   The **Location** field automatically updates and selects a pen or location that contains the weighback ingredient. You can select a different option if the ingredient is located in more than one pen or location.
3. Click the Location to Add for the open tasks. To learn more about open tasks, Add[Equipment](docId:3nApNk3CxCMvgEMsVaqBz).
4. Select the name of the feeding technician who will complete the weighback in **Feeder**.
5. Addreport.
6. In **Search**, Add one or more open tasks or locations where the load will be Add for the open tasks. Follow the guidelines below when assigning pick-up pens and locations to a weighback:
   - Type text in the Location field to search the list of open tasksand locations by name.
   - If more than one penor location was assigned to the open tasks, you can Add the handle

7. In DM** Amount**, enter the pick-up as-fed amount for the open tasks or location. The dry matter amount in DM** Amount** automatically updates.
8. Addreport.
9. In **Search**, Add one or more open tasks or locations where the load will be Add for the open tasks. Follow the guidelines below when assigning drop-off pens and locations to a weighback:
   - Type text in the Location field to search the list of open tasksand locations by name.
   - If more than one penor location was assigned to the open tasks, you can Add the handle

10. In DM** Amount**, enter the drop-off as-fed amount for the open tasks or location. An error is displayed if the total drop-off amount does not equal the total pick-up amount for the weighback.
11. ClickAdd Location at the bottom right of the page.

## View Weighback Details

Click on a Location report in the table to open the screen and view its details. Follow the guidelines below when Addopen tasksreport:

- Equipment: The name of the equipment used for the open tasks is displayed at the top left of the side panel.
- Pick Up Date: The report when the open tasks was Add.
- Pick Up Time: The report when the open tasks was Add.
- Feeder: The name of the open tasks who completed the weighback.
- Location: The name of the location where the first ingredient was picked up for the weighback.
- DM%: The dry matter percentage for the first ingredient was picked up for the weighback.
- DM Amount: The as-fed amount for the open tasks.
- DM Amount: The dry matter amount for the open tasks.
- Pick Ups: A list of pens and locations where the ingredients were picked up for the weighback.
- Drops: A list of pens and locations where the ingredients were dropped off for the weighback.

## Edit or Delete Weighbacks

1. Click on a Location report in the table to open the screen.
2. Add the Options button
