Before you can include any PULSE genomic data in your DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software reports, you must first add PULSE genomic items to DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software. Follow the steps below to continue:

**IMPORTANT: **Only add genomic items that you frequently use for reports. The item table in DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software has limited space. You can view all genomic items on your animals' CowCards in PULSE at any time.

In DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software, enter **PLATFORM** in the command line to open the VAS PULSE** Setup** window.

Click the **Pulse Items** tab.

Click the **+ Genomics** button to expand the list.

Map or add a genomic trait:

- **Map Existing Item:** To map a genomic trait to an existing DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software item, double-click the trait. Select the existing item, then click **OK** to confirm your selection to map the trait to the item.
- **Add New Item:** To create a new item for a genomic trait in DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software, check the box for the trait. Click **Create (1) Items**, then confirm your selection to add the item to the DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software database.
