You can manage FeedCompopen tasks on the Adjustmentsscreen. You can find this feature under the [FeedComp Menu](docId\:T93yU--9puoivxMGYpo5g).

**NOTE: **Only ingredients with location tracking enabled are displayed on the Overview tab. When an ingredient location is tracked, its inventory is actively managed in FeedComp. Tracking begins when inventory is added to a location, ensuring stock levels are continuously monitored and accurately reflected in the system. See [Track Ingredients at a Location](docId:7rbEZbVSH5o0poFnTnLpZ) to learn more about tracking locations at your dairy.

## Search, Sort, and Filter the Inventory List

Options to search, sort, and filter the open tasks list are available at the top of the screen. Follow the guidelines below when Add the open tasksreport:

- Click**Filters** at the top left of the page to limit the data that is displayed. The **Filters** side panel opens.
- Type text in the Location**\*\*\*\* Name** field to search the list of open tasks by name.
- Add an\*\*Location \*\***Type** to limit the report to a specific type of open tasks. Multiple open tasks can be Add. You can also type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name
- Adda Location to limit the report to a specific open tasks. Multiple open tasks can be Add. You can also type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name.
- In **Days Left**, select an option to limit the list to inventory that will run out within a specific number of days. If the current amount of the ingredient is low and will run out in less than DM days, a

Dry Forage**: **Vegetative material, such as stems, leaves, and stalks of plants, in a dried state that is used for feed.

Fresh Forages**: **A crop of cultivated plants or plant parts that are grazed or harvested as feed.

Silage**: **Preserved forage for feed, like pasture grass, alfalfa, grains, and corn, that is produced by fermenting plant matter.

Energy**: **High-calorie feed, such as corn, sorghum, barley, and wheat.

Additives**: **Products added to feed to enhance feed quality, make the feed more digestible, and improve health and performance.

- On-Hand Amount: the current ingredient amount available in your inventory. The unit of measurement is displayed in pounds or kilograms based on your account settings in FeedComp. See [Edit Your User Account](docId\:noN0kV5hwhmfaYXl0TlkE) to learn more.
- Location: The name of the location where the open tasks is currently Add. See [Track Ingredients at a Location](docId:7rbEZbVSH5o0poFnTnLpZ) to learn more about tracking locations at your dairy.
- Days Left: The number of days before the ingredient will no longer be available in your inventory. If the current amount of the ingredient is low and will run out in less than DM days, the value is displayed in **red**.\:::ExpandableHeading

- The name of the open tasks is displayed at the top left of the screen.

- Select an option in **Sort By** at the top right of the page to change how the page is sorted. Select an option in **View Rows Per Page** to change how many records are displayed on the page, and click the navigation options to jump to a specific page.

## Create New Transaction

Follow the steps below to continue:

1. Add the transaction **Type**: **Delivery**,**Pickup**, or **Physical **Inventory** Adjustment**. See [transaction types](docId\:uUXiZKY1zoSORkzOuzS7m) to learn more.
2. Select the **Date**, **Hour**, and **Minutes** the transaction began. Today's date and the current time are defaulted for you.
3. AddtheIngredient associated with the transaction.
4. AddtheLocation on the farm where the transaction took place.
5. If **Delivery** or **Pickup** was selected as the transaction **Type**, enter the **Start Weight** and the **End Weight**. Once entered, the **Net Weight** automatically calculates for you.
   OR
   If **Physical **Inventory** Adjustment** was selected as the transaction **Type**, enter the **Adjustment Amount** and select **Unit** or **Ton**.
6. In DM** Cost**, enter the as-fed cost of the ingredient and select **Unit** or **Ton**.
7. In DM**%**, enter the percentage of dry matter in the ingredient.
8. If **Delivery** or **Pickup** was selected as the transaction **Type**, select the name of the **Vendor** and enter the name of the **Driver** associated with the transaction.
9. In **Note**, include any additional notes about the open tasks.
10. Once you've added the information, click **Save**.

- Transaction ID: The transaction ID is displayed at the top left of the side panel.
- Date/Time: The report when the open tasks was Add are displayed below the Transaction** ID**.

FeedComp updates your [Recipes](docId:8bCehJ9iwn0EsaKaN9P2B) and [Feedings](docId\:CXE1Us9j-5R2BrKhwRQbT) when transactions are created, or when the DM% of an ingredient changes. Additional details for each transaction type are provided below:

Adjustment**: **A manual change or correction to match actual on-hand inventory. When you create an adjustment transaction, FeedComp resets the inventory and updates the on-hand amount, DM%, and cost to ensure accurate data across the app.
FeedComp also creates adjustment transactions automatically when you make the following changes on the [Ingredients](docId:7rbEZbVSH5o0poFnTnLpZ) page:

Toggle **Track this **Location on or off.
:::

:::Paragraph{listStyleType="disc" indent="3"}
Update the **On-Hand Amount**, **DM%**, or **AF Cost** for an ingredient after tracking is enabled.

Delivery**: **The delivery of an ingredient purchased for daily [Feedings](docId\:CXE1Us9j-5R2BrKhwRQbT).

Pick Up**: **The pick up of an ingredient no longer needed and sold off-farm. When you create a pick-up or delivery transaction, FeedComp processes inventory updates based on stock availability:

When no stock remains: FeedComp updates the inventory values.
:::

:::Paragraph{listStyleType="disc" indent="3"}
When stock remains\::Variable\{key="masterVAS-Products.FeedComp" type="variable"} follows the first-in, first-out (FIFO) rule, using the oldest stock first.

Usage**: **The ingredient amount used in daily [Feedings](docId\:CXE1Us9j-5R2BrKhwRQbT). FeedComp automatically creates usage transactions as ingredients are fed to animals. These transactions are displayed only when the [Show Usage](docId\:uUXiZKY1zoSORkzOuzS7m) filter is checked.

- Ingredient: theIngredient associated with the transaction.
- Location: theLocation on the farm where the transaction took place.

### Adjustment Transaction Details

The following details are available for Adjustment transactions:

- Adjustment On Hand: The amount of the ingredient that was added to or removed from available inventory resulting from the physical inventory adjustment.
- DM Cost: The current as-fed cost for the ingredient and the cost prior to the adjustment.
- DM%: The current dry matter percentage for the ingredient and the percentage prior to the adjustment.
- On Hand: the current ingredient amount available for feeding at your dairy.
- User: The name of the user who performed the Add.
- Note: Any additional notes about the open tasks.

### Delivery and Pickup Transaction Details

The following details are available for Delivery and Pick Up transactions:

- Start Weight: The weight of the truck before the delivery or pickup.
- End Weight: The weight of the truck after the delivery or pickup.
- Net Weight: The difference between the **Start Weight** and **End Weight**.
- DM Cost: The as-fed cost for the open tasks.
- DM%: The dry matter percentage for the open tasks.
- On Hand: the current ingredient amount available for feeding at your dairy.
- Vendor: The name of the **Vendor** associated with the transaction.
- Driver: The name of the **Driver** associated with the transaction.
- Cost: The total cost of the delivery or pickup.
- Note: Any additional notes about the open tasks.

FeedComp automatically creates usage transactions as ingredients are fed to animals. The following details are available for Usage transactions:

## Edit or Delete Transactions

1. Click on a transaction **ID** in the table to open the side panel and view its details.
2. Add the Options button

### Delete Transaction

1. Click on a transaction **ID** in the table to open the side panel and view its details.
2. Add the Options button

## Create New Vendor

ClickAdd Location at the top right of the page to open the side panel and Add information for the open tasks. Follow the steps below to continue:

1. Add the Location report. The nameAdd must be unique and cannot match the name of existing open tasks.
2. In **Address**, enter the business address for the vendor.
3. In **Phone Number**, enter the telephone number where the vendor can be contacted.
4. In **Note**, include any additional notes about the open tasks.
5. Select each ingredient you want to Add to the open tasks under Add Location.\:::ExpandableHeading\{customAnchorSlug="assigningredientsvendor"}

### Edit Vendor

1. Click on a Location report in the table to open the screen.
2. Add the Options button
