You can manage FeedCompopen tasks on the Adjustmentsscreen. Activeopen tasksare displayed by default. Tap the Inactive filter to see more.

## Create New Ingredient

**TIP: **Each ingredient must have at least one open tasks. Be sure to add your [Locations](docId\:mvf1M7YS_LZWFCIra1ZrH) before adding ingredients. See [Before You Begin: Required Setup](docId\:ZgM8YYHrIYDMqmr1VaF78) to learn more about the required setup order.

1. Tap `Create Ingredient` at the bottom of the screen.
2. Enter the **Ingredient Name**.
3. If you're adding a weighback ingredient, tap the Weighback Ingredient toggle.
4. Select the **Ingredient Type**.
5. Enter the **Load Tolerance**.
6. Tap **+ Assign Location** in the middle of the screen.
7. Select the location, select the **Unit** or **Ton** option, enter the **DM%**, and **Cost Unit** or **Cost Ton**, Add`Add` at the bottom of the screen.
8. Add`Save` at the bottom of the screen.

## Edit Ingredient

Click the open tasks to Add, tap Locations or Recipes to view ingredients by location or recipe, Add`Edit Ingredient` at the bottom of the screen. From here, you can change the open tasks details, and:

## Set Load Tolerance

1. Click the open tasks to Add.
2. Add`Edit Ingredient` at the bottom of the screen.
3. Update the **Load Tolerance**, Add`Save` at the bottom of the screen.

## Deactivate Ingredient

1. Click the open tasks to Add.
2. Add`Edit Ingredient` at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap Add

**NOTE: **If the ingredient is assigned to a [location](docId\:mvf1M7YS_LZWFCIra1ZrH), it is removed from the location when deactivated.

## Reactivate Ingredient

1. Click the open tasks to Add.
2. Tap `Reactivate` at the bottom of the screen.

## Assign or Transfer Ingredient to a Location

1. Click the open tasks to Add or transfer.
2. Add`Edit Ingredient` at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap **+ Assign/Edit Location** in the middle of the screen.
4. Select the location, select the **Unit** or **Ton** option, enter the **DM%**, and **Cost Unit** or **Cost Ton**, Add`Save` at the bottom of the screen

## Set DM%

1. Click the open tasks to Add.
2. Add`Edit Ingredient` at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap **+ Assign/Edit Location** in the middle of the screen.
4. Update the **DM%**, Add`Save` at the bottom of the screen.

## Set Cost

1. Click the open tasks to Add.
2. Add`Edit Ingredient` at the bottom of the screen.
3. Update the **Cost Unit** or **Cost Ton**, Add`Save` at the bottom of the screen.

## Set Time Delay Between Ingredients

1. Click the open tasks to Add.
2. Add`Edit Ingredient` at the bottom of the screen.
3. Update **Set Time Delay Between Ingredients**, Add`Save` at the bottom of the screen.

1. Click the open tasks to Add.
2. Add`Edit Ingredient` at the bottom of the screen.
3. Update the **Ingredient Type**, Add`Save` at the bottom of the screen.

- Dry Forage: Vegetative material, such as stems, leaves, and stalks of plants, in a dried state that is used for feed.
- Fresh Forage: A crop of cultivated plants or plant parts that are grazed or harvested as feed.
- Silage: Preserved forage for feed, like pasture grass, alfalfa, grains, and corn, that is produced by fermenting plant matter.
- Energy: High-calorie feed, such as corn, sorghum, barley, and wheat.
- Protein: High-protein feed, such as soy and canola.
- Vitamins and Minerals: Supplements added to feed to prevent deficiencies in dairy cows that can impact health and milk production.
- Additives: Products added to feed to enhance feed quality, make the feed more digestible, and improve health and performance.
- Water: Water added to a feed mixture to improve daily milk yield.
