Follow these steps to integrate the partner system with VAS and allow health and reproduction data and alerts to display in PULSE:

## Step 1: Nedap Now Setup

Prior to activating your integration, you must first fulfill the following requirements: 

- Ensure your dairy has a company in Nedap Now.
- Ensure that your company is configured with farms and locations in Nedap Now.
- Connect your Nedap Velos device to Nedap Now.

## Step 2: Configure Items in DairyComp 305 (DairyComp Unlimited Users Only)

**IMPORTANT: **If you have DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software version lower than 23.10.909, you must update DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software to the latest release version before you can configure Nedap — cloud items. See [Update DC305 to the Latest Release](https://dc-help.vas.com/FAQs/WebUpdater.htm) in the DairyComp 305 online help for update instructions.

To receive animal alerts in DairyComp 305 and PULSE, you must first create and configure several items:

1. In DairyComp 305, enter `PLATFORM` in the command line.
2. Click the **Pulse Items** tab and expand **Nedap**.
3. If necessary, map or add an activity measurement alert:
   - **Map Existing Item:** To map an activity measurement alert to an existing DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software item, double-click the alert. Select the existing item, then click **OK** to confirm your selection to map the alert to the item.
   - **Add New Item:** To create a new item for an activity measurement alert in DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software, check the box for the alert. Click **Create (1) Items**, then confirm your selection to add the item to the DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software database.

**NOTE: **In DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software, the animal's flag value indicates if the animal requires attention. If the animal has a flag value of 0, the animal does not require attention. If the animal has a flag value of 1, the animal requires attention.

## Step 3: Configure Worklist Commands in DairyComp 305 (DairyComp Unlimited Users Only)

To generate partner worklists using the new items and send them to PULSE, you must configure the worklist commands in DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software. In DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software, access Command Abbreviations (ALTER\3) and create or modify the required lists. ## Step 4: Connect Integration in PULSE

Follow the steps below to establish the connection to the partner system:

1. In PULSE, navigate to **Partners **>** Integrations Gallery **>Nedap — cloud.
2. Click**See Details** or **See Requirements** on the Nedap — cloudintegration card.
3. Follow the Connection Instructions on the upper right side of the page to establish the connection:
   1. Click**Add New Alias**, then complete the following fields:
      - **Alias:** Enter your Dairy Name. If you have multiple dairies, we recommend you use different names for each alias.
   2. Click**Select **Pens to choose pens that use Nedap — cloud. Enter the pen numbers and select the correct pens from the results list, which lists the pens in ascending order.
   3. Click**Save**.
   4. Click the **Connection Status** toggle and verify the status switches to **Active**.

Click**Authorize integration**, then complete the necessary fields on the Nedap Now website that automatically opens.
