All of your dairy’s current feedings are listed on the screen. The feeder will generally follow the order displayed, moving left to right and top to bottom. Expand the sections below to learn more: :::ExpandableHeading{indent="2"} ## Search and Filter the Feedings List Options to search and filter the open tasks list are available at the top of the screen. Follow the guidelines below when Add the open tasksreport: - Click**Filters** at the top left of the page to limit the data that is displayed. The **Filters** side panel opens. - Type text in the Location**\*\*\*\* Name** field to search the list of open tasks by name. - Adda Location to limit the report to a specific open tasks. Multiple open tasks can be Add. You can also type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name. - AddLocation to limit the report to specific open tasks. Multiple open tasksnames can be Add. You can also type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name. - Add a **Type** to limit the report to a specific type of open tasks. - Activeopen tasksare displayed by default. If there are no assigned feedings, the Target DM/HD will be populated when a Feeding Schedule is created. If you update the Target DM/HD, the change will be reflected in all feedings. FeedComp can split feedings when adding/editing feedings or when changing pen/feeding counts, and you can save or cancel the changes before feeding starts. FeedComp divides the load into equal parts, recalculates ingredients, and updates pen counts for you. By removing the need for feeders to calculate splits manually, this feature reduces errors, improves efficiency, and helps protect equipment from overload. Other updates can be made after the feeding schedule resets. - If the first split has not started when the equipment assigned to a split feeding is changed, the splits are recalculated. - Once the first split begins, FeedComp does not recalculate the splits. Instead, it applies the outcomes described in Scenarios [2](docId\:CXE1Us9j-5R2BrKhwRQbT), [3](docId\:CXE1Us9j-5R2BrKhwRQbT), and [4](docId\:CXE1Us9j-5R2BrKhwRQbT) below. :::ExpandableHeading ### Scenario 1: Standard Split Feeding **When This Happens: **A recipe load is bigger than the mixer capacity, and you approve it to be split before feeding starts. **What **FeedComp** Does:** - Divides the load into equal parts - Recalculates ingredient amounts for each split - Updates pen counts **What You See in Feedings:** - Splits created as planned - Main feeding created and scheduled; splits viewable in [split feeding details](docId\:CXE1Us9j-5R2BrKhwRQbT) **What You See in **[Feeding Schedule Exports](docId\:CXE1Us9j-5R2BrKhwRQbT)**: **All splits listed individually and ready for feeding. **What You See in **[Feed History](docId\:K8IAsctyGaEiiUVSOMLUY)**: **Splits reflect the actual feeding status (completed, incomplete, aborted, or missing). **Why It Matters: **You get accurate splits without doing any math by hand. FeedComp automatically splits the recipe load to safely fit within mixer capacity. ::: :::ExpandableHeading ### Scenario 2: Splits Partially Completed, Equipment Changed, New Mixer Larger Than Remaining Load **When This Happens: **You start with splits, then switch to a mixer larger than what’s left in the load. **What **FeedComp** Does:** - Keeps completed and/or in-progress splits as is - Merges the remaining load into one final split **What You See in Feedings:** - Completed and/or in-progress splits remain with no changes - Remaining splits merged into one new split **What You See in **[Feed History](docId\:K8IAsctyGaEiiUVSOMLUY)**: **Splits reflect the actual feeding status (completed, incomplete, aborted, or missing). **Why It Matters: **FeedComp reorganizes the feeding automatically; no manual adjustment needed. ::: :::ExpandableHeading ### Scenario 3: Splits Partially Completed, Equipment Changed, New Mixer Smaller Than Remaining Load but Large Enough for Each Split **When This Happens: **You switch to a smaller mixer that can’t hold the whole remaining load, but can hold each split. **What **FeedComp** Does:** - Completed and/or in-progress splits are **Completed** - Leaves remaining as separate, and each recalculated as **Completed** **What You See in Feedings:**All splits remain as is. **What You See in **[Feed History](docId\:K8IAsctyGaEiiUVSOMLUY)**: **Splits reflect the actual feeding status (completed, incomplete, aborted, or missing). **Why It Matters: **Splits remain accurate without any recalculation required. In this case, you may choose to manually recalculate the remaining splits, depending on how much total load remains and how many pens still need to be fed. ::: :::ExpandableHeading ### Scenario 4: Splits Partially Completed, Equipment Changed, New Mixer Too Small for Remaining Load or Even a Single Split **When This Happens: **You switch to a mixer that can’t hold the remaining load or even one split. **What **FeedComp** Does:** - Completed and/or in-progress splits are **Completed** - Acknowledges that the chosen equipment cannot safely hold the remaining splits - Shows Overcapacityreport for all remaining splits **What You See in Feedings:** - All splits remain as is - Overcapacityreport displayed for the main feeding **What You See in **[Feeding Schedule Exports](docId\:CXE1Us9j-5R2BrKhwRQbT)**: **An Overcapacity warning displayed for all remaining splits. **What You See in **[Feed History](docId\:K8IAsctyGaEiiUVSOMLUY)**: **Splits reflect the actual feeding status (completed, incomplete, aborted, or missing). **Why It Matters: **FeedComp prevents errors by flagging when the mixer is too small for the remaining splits.
