All of your dairy’s current feedings are listed on the Locationscreen. The feeder will generally follow the order displayed, moving left to right and top to bottom. Add`Start Mix` at the bottom of the screen. ::::ExpandableHeading{indent="2"} ### Load the Ingredients for the Mix :::hint{type="warning"} **IMPORTANT: **If you want to use both a feeding device and a loading device to monitor and manage loads, [enable Loader View on a loading device](docId\:IornhhsuGCRmYUXzlu3kT). Loader View allows you to connect your loading device to your feeding device, so any operations on your feeding device are mirrored on your loading device. When Loader View is enabled on a loading device, you can advance or pause feedings and view real-time feeding details while loading is in progress. ::: Follow the steps below to load a mix: 1. Load the first ingredient for the mix. As you load ingredients, the scale weighs the load and FeedComp calculates the percentage complete. If `Start Mix` is tapped, the mix is [split into multiple feedings](docId\:bLpnMyM2qGf6EbQeuak3l) and you may need to [reorder the feeding schedule](docId\:bLpnMyM2qGf6EbQeuak3l). ::: :::Paragraph{listStyleType="disc" indent="2"} If the weight of an ingredient detected by the scale drops below the threshold set for the mixer while mixing a recipe, FeedComp displays an alert that requires attention before adding the next ingredient to the mixer. To set the threshold, see [Create New Equipment](docId:_Hejp5bidqlNPDZIUtObe) and [Edit Equipment](docId:_Hejp5bidqlNPDZIUtObe). Tap **Acknowledge** to confirm and record the ingredient's actual amount and continue mixing. Once all of the ingredients are added and the progress bar reaches 100%, FeedComp automatically advances you to drop at the pen. Or, you can Add`Start Dropping` at the bottom of the screen. 2. Drop the mix at the first open tasks. Once all of the drops are complete and the progress bar reaches 100%, FeedComp automatically advances. Or, you can tap `Continue` at the bottom of the screen to advance manually. The open tasks is now complete, and FeedComp compiles and presents your open tasks summary. 5. Add`View Report Card` at the bottom of the screen to view additional details for the ingredients dropped and pens fed for the open tasks. 6. The completed feeding is removed from the Feeding Schedule screen. Now you can proceed with your next feeding! Repeat the steps above for all of the feedings listed in your dairy's feeding schedule. :::: ::::: ::::ExpandableHeading ## Skip or Ignore during Feedings FeedComp allows you to skip or ignore ingredients when loading them into a mixer, and you can also skip or ignore pens when dropping the mix when feeding. A premix isn't like a normal recipe mix that is dropped to a sequence of pens; instead, a premix is batched for use in other recipes. See [Create New Recipe](docId\:YUsh39V980DYiE-MtCOrO) and [Batch Feedings](docId:5KhmgWioOQUEHhTB_Dpgm) for more information. ::: ::::ExpandableHeading ## Mix Overnight Loads Overnight loads optimize morning feeding routines by allowing feeding technicians to mix a feed recipe the night before, pause the feeding and store the mix in the equipment overnight, and resume the feeding the next morning. This feature also allows feeding technicians to pause the loading sequence at any time while mixing a recipe and add the remaining ingredients that complete the recipe the next morning. :::hint{type="info"} **TIP: **Overnight loads are identified with an overnight load icon and enabled for your dairy in Settings. See [Enable Overnight Loads](docId\:FVV544s3nM30ypvgFJdZa) to learn more. ::: Follow these steps to work with overnight loads: 1. AddLocation at the bottom of the screen. 2. Click the open tasks to Add. 3. If the mix for this feeding was started yesterday and paused before all ingredients were added, AddLocation at the bottom of the screen. 4. Start (or continue) loading the ingredients. 5. Add`Resume Tomorrow` at the bottom of the screen to pause until tomorrow. 6. To resume the load, open the Feeding Schedule, select the overnight load that was paused, and resume. :::hint{type="warning"} **IMPORTANT: **Once an overnight load is started in [equipment connected to a scale](docId\:FVV544s3nM30ypvgFJdZa), all feedings (except for the overnight load) are disabled for that equipment until the overnight load is completed.
