Add events to one or more animals, either by searching for them manually or using [RFID Scanners (v2)](docId\:Tw99jpd0HW37hkRJTXFAw). If not, tap the **Add Animals** button to find the animal. - The required event details vary based on event type. The app validates the event details you enter and warns you if there is a potential data entry error. The length of the remark field may be 16 or 8 characters, depending on your dairy type/item table configuration. MyDCdairies support 16-character remarks. DC Unlimiteddairies can support 16-character remarks if they have adequate item table storage space. If a DC Unlimiteddairy has limited item table storage space, it can only support 8-character remarks. Follow the guidelines below and learn how quarter/quadrant selection works for specific events: - MAST and LAME Lameness includes any abnormality which causes an animal to change the way it walks, and can be caused by a range of foot and leg conditions, including hoof ailments, hock damage, bruising, sores, or cuts. events: - 16-character REM: Choose 1, 2, 3, or all quarters/quadrants for MAST and LAME events. - 8-character REM: Choose 1 or all quarters/quadrants for MAST and LAME events. - CULTURE Culture events are typically used to identify the source of mastitis and high SCC testday results. events: Choose either 1 or all quarters to follow best practices for this event type, irrespective of the REM field length. ::: :::Paragraph{indent="1"} The event date defaults to today, so if you’re adding events for previous days, be sure to adjust the date. ::: - If you are adding an event with similar details to multiple animals, you can copy event details to speed up event entry. Follow the steps below to continue: 1. Enter an event for the first animal.
