Click **Add View to the Dairy** or **Customize** to continue. Adding the view to your dairy adds it to the [My Views](docId\:EUz3NKbKEETqBWtH4-Yn3) tab and makes it available for addition to your HerdSightsDashboards. Continue to [Build a Custom View](docId\:EUz3NKbKEETqBWtH4-Yn3) to learn about customizing a view. ::: ::::ExpandableHeading{indent="2"} ## Build a Custom View Use the following guidelines when building custom views for use in your HerdSightsdashboards: - Click **Customize** to start building a view from an existing template. This option is helpful if you're aiming to build a similar view, but want to change or add more data points or adjust the frequency of the view. - Click the **Build Custom **View button at the top right of the page to start building a view from scratch. - When building your views, select related data points and KPIs Key Performance Indicators to measure and compare associated details. For instance, if you need to track weekly replacement females born to heifers, you would only add LACTGRP0 birth data to your view. - Create as many views as you need. Then group your views in a dashboard to keep related metrics together. - Follow the steps below to create your custom view: 1. Build a view from an existing template or build a custom view:  - Click **Customize** to start building a view from an existing template. - Click the **Build Custom **View button to start building from scratch. 2. Select whether to track this KPI Key Performance Indicator on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis and click **Create**. 3. The views available here can be added to your HerdSightsDashboards.
