Before you can begin using FeedComp to feed at your dairy, you must complete the required setup in the following order:

3. [Pens](docId\:RY7lmYhzaiMIbpnK2SVF-)
4. [Ingredients](docId\:TfbtqhWPD-iKNMEUXhan1)
5. [Recipes](docId\:YUsh39V980DYiE-MtCOrO)
6. [Adjust Feedings](docId\:bLpnMyM2qGf6EbQeuak3l)
7. [Vendors](docId\:FYSLgsLGJQ2doNdQK0eYy) (if your dairy handles deliveries or pickups for [Inventory](docId\:zeTn8eO3IPPwoLgQqRPQr))
8. [Scales](docId\:sYEtsrviVW35b9cvAIMxB) (if the device is used for feeding)

**NOTE: **Devices used for feeding must be connected to a scale. See [Scales](docId\:sYEtsrviVW35b9cvAIMxB) to learn more about connecting to your scale. Devices not used for feeding will not have all available [Feed](docId\:M8AuLvwWjBH4IzzLif4IF) options. If you change your mind about using a device for feeding, [log out of the app](docId\:FVV544s3nM30ypvgFJdZa) and select **Yes** or **No** when asked if the device will be used for feeding.
