You can manage FeedCompopen tasks on the Adjustmentsscreen. The page lists all ingredients in use at your dairy in a card format. You can find this feature under the [FeedComp Menu](docId\:T93yU--9puoivxMGYpo5g).

## Search, Sort, and Filter the Ingredients List

Options to search, sort, and filter the open tasks list are available at the top of the screen. Follow the guidelines below when Add the open tasksreport:

- Click**Filters** at the top left of the page to limit the data that is displayed. The **Filters** side panel opens.
- Type text in the Locatio&#x6E;**\*\*\*\* Name** field to search the list of open tasks by name.
- Add an\*\*Location \*\***Type** to limit the report to a specific type of open tasks. Multiple open tasks can be Add. You can also type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name.
- Adda Location to limit the report to a specific open tasks. Multiple open tasks can be Add. You can also type text directly in the field to search for open tasks by name.
- Activeopen tasksare displayed by default. Add the **Show Inactive**box to view all available open tasks in the list.
- Add the **Clear Filter\*\*\*\*s** option to clear all of the filters currently applied.
- Select an option in **Sort By** at the top right of the page to change how the page is sorted.
- Select an option in **View Rows Per Page** to change how many records are displayed on the page, and click the navigation options to jump to a specific page.

## Create New Ingredient

ClickAdd Location at the top right of the page to open the side panel and Add information for the open tasks. Follow the guidelines below when Addopen tasks:

- The Locatio&#x6E;**&#x20;Name**Add must be unique and cannot match the name of existing open tasks.
- If you're adding a weighback ingredient, be sure to select "Weighback" as the **Ingredient Type**.
- In **Load Tolerance**, enter the weight tolerance allowed when loading the ingredient into the mixer. The unit of measurement is displayed in pounds or kilograms based on your account settings in FeedComp. See [Edit Your User Account](docId\:noN0kV5hwhmfaYXl0TlkE) to learn more.
- Click **Add Location** to add a location for the ingredient. Multiple open tasks can be Add. Once a location is selected, complete the following additional information:
  - Enter the DM%, and&#x20;**&#xA0;**&#x41;&#x46;**&#x20;Cost**, and then Add the **Unit** or **Ton** option.
  - Click the **Track this&#x20;**&#x4C;ocation toggle to track the ingredient in the location. See [Track Ingredients at a Location](docId:7rbEZbVSH5o0poFnTnLpZ) to learn more about tracking locations at your dairy.
  - In **On-Hand Amount**, enter the current ingredient amount available at the location, and then Add the **Unit** or **Ton** option.
- Once you've added the information, click **Save**.

## View Ingredient Cards

Follow the guidelines below when Addopen tasksreport:

- Locationreport: The open tasksreport is displayed at the top left of the report.
- Details: Click the **Details** link at the top right of anopen tasks card to [View Ingredient Details](docId:7rbEZbVSH5o0poFnTnLpZ).

Dry Forag&#x65;**:&#x20;**&#x56;egetative material, such as stems, leaves, and stalks of plants, in a dried state that is used for feed.

Fresh Forage&#x73;**:&#x20;**&#x41; crop of cultivated plants or plant parts that are grazed or harvested as feed.

Silag&#x65;**:&#x20;**&#x50;reserved forage for feed, like pasture grass, alfalfa, grains, and corn, that is produced by fermenting plant matter.

Energ&#x79;**:&#x20;**&#x48;igh-calorie feed, such as corn, sorghum, barley, and wheat.

Weighbac&#x6B;**:&#x20;**&#x46;eed leftover from a prior feeding that can be added to a recipe and help reduce waste.

- Load Tolerance: The weight tolerance allowed when loading the ingredient into the mixer. The unit of measurement is displayed in pounds or kilograms based on your account settings in FeedComp. See [Edit Your User Account](docId\:noN0kV5hwhmfaYXl0TlkE) to learn more.
- Location: The name of the location where the open tasks is currently Add.
- DM%: The dry matter percentage for the open tasks. If the ingredient is stored in multiple locations, values are displayed for each separate location.
- AF Cost/Ton: The as-fed unit cost per ton for the open tasks. If the ingredient is stored in multiple locations, values are displayed for each separate location.

## View Ingredient Details

Click the **Details** link at the top right of anopen tasks card to Add the open tasks's details. The Location reportscreen opens. Follow the guidelines below when Addopen tasksreport:

- Current On-Hand AF: The amount that is currently available on hand as‑fed (AF) in tons.
- Daily AF: The daily as-fed (AF) amount in tons.
- Days Left: the estimated number of days remaining before the current on-hand amount is depleted.
- AF Projections: As-fed (AF) projections for the next 30, 60, and 90 days.
- Add Location: ClickAdd Location at the top right of the page to open the side panel and Add information for the open tasks or remove the ingredient from a location. See [Edit Ingredient](docId:7rbEZbVSH5o0poFnTnLpZ) or [Remove Ingredients from a Location](docId:7rbEZbVSH5o0poFnTnLpZ) for more information.
- Ingredient Usage by Recipes: A list of recipes that currently use the ingredient as well as other recipe details such as the dry matter (DM) weight per head, as-fed (AF) weight per head, pens fed using the recipe, and the daily as-fed (AF) usage of the ingredient (which shows the real as-fed (AF) amount used to feed all pens fed using the recipe). The unit of measurement is displayed in pounds or kilograms based on your account settings in FeedComp. See [Edit Your User Account](docId\:noN0kV5hwhmfaYXl0TlkE) to learn more.
- Locations: A list of locations where the ingredient is currently stored as well as other location details such as dry matter percentage, as-fed unit cost per ton, dry matter cost per ton, on-hand amount, and the estimated number of days remaining before the current on-hand amount is depleted.

## Edit Ingredient

Click the **Details** link at the top right of anopen tasks card to Add the open tasks's details. The Location reportscreen opens.ClickAdd Location at the top right of the page. From here, you can change the open tasks details, and:

## Deactivate or Reactivate Ingredients

### Deactivate Ingredient

1. Click the **Details** link at the top right of anopen tasks card to Add the open tasks's details. The Location reportscreen opens.
2. ClickAdd Location at the top right of the page. The Add Locationscreen opens.
3. Click the Active Location toggle to Add the open tasks.
4. Click**Save**.

An ingredient used in a recipe or a premix cannot be deactivated, but you can remove the ingredient from the recipe or premix and then deactivate it. See the topics below to learn more:

### Reactivate Ingredient

1. Click**Filters** at the top left of the page.

## Remove Ingredients from a Location

3. Click the delete icon

## Track Ingredients at a Location

When an ingredient location is tracked, its inventory is actively managed in FeedComp. Tracking begins when inventory is added to a location, ensuring stock levels are continuously monitored and accurately reflected in the system. Follow the steps below to continue:

1. Click the **Details** link at the top right of anopen tasks card to Add the open tasks's details. The Location reportscreen opens.
2. ClickAdd Location at the top right of the page. The Add Locationscreen opens, and all locations associated with the ingredient are displayed under Locations.
3. Click the **Track this&#x20;**&#x4C;ocation toggle to track the ingredient in the location.\:::hint\{type="info"}
   **NOTE:&#x20;**&#xA;FeedComp
   &#x20;adds a new Adjustment transaction to the&#x20;
   [Transactions](docId\:uUXiZKY1zoSORkzOuzS7m)
   &#x20;page when:
   - Toggling **Track this&#x20;**&#x4C;ocation on or off.
   - Updating the **On-Hand Amount**, **DM%**, or **AF Cost** for an ingredient after tracking is enabled.

4. In **On-Hand Amount**, enter the current ingredient amount available at the location, and then Add the **Unit** or **Ton** option.
